Thanks so much for making this and it showing up on my feed. I had no idea a successor was actually real. They even have Planetboom and Mike B doing the music. Dude. D u d e. I need this. I am so happy.
It's an embryo. It won't be the same as S4, but it might scratch the itch it left. Getting some contenders into the fray would force them to push harder into a niche. Although, as of now. None are in sight.
man, right in the nostalgia. I started playing S4 back in 2008 open beta, and stopped playing around 2013. I was never that good at the game, but I always enjoyed playing it. It had cool fashions and art. RIP panamaman
@Artorikus Man if they had kept the hype of the game it could have been another fornite perhaps. For S4 league was a gacha game, MMO and RPG all at once. It's one hell of a drug.
@@KnexusWorld it was not just the cheaters fault but the game was managed poorly and everything was pay2win... At least we have the two custom S4 and Code ZIN now 😄
@@Artorikus CODE ZIN looks meh tbh but i'll try it 100%. S4 did so many things right. If riot re release this game in today market it would bring them so much money.
The game wasn't sold. Just that Neowiz wanted to pull the plug because they obviously didn't know what else they could do with the game to generate more money (no one was buying anything because they pretty much had everything and nothing new added to the game brought value) and Aeria Games was bleeding money running it along with the other games they had (which was also bleeding revenue). Neowiz just got tired of working on the game since it wasn't profitable for them no more. The hacker issue was there since day 1 back on Alaplaya, nothing could be done about that as it's just a cat & mouse game with getting the anti-cheat to work only to have script kids to find a loophole around it and then we were back at square one. Having GMs who didn't mind being in the game for long house (like I did back when I was working with Alaplaya) was the only way to stop script kiddies from ruining games.
@@shinobifox6615 Outside of force packs, there was no reason to spend money. Unless you had some of the dumbest luck ever with RNGsus and got the unlimited versions of the item you wanted, it was the only constant flow of income they had but because of the P2W nature of them, no one liked them. Even the upgrade system (which was something a community member idealized & brought up to the Alaplaya staff on their forums) was one of the biggest mistakes - in my opinion - in the game. It further enforced the P2W nature in the game. There was so many bad system ideas brought to us during the Alaplaya days that it made me shake my head but I had no say in the matter (I mostly brought my discontent to ChuckB - the game director for Alaplaya at the time when I was working with the company) in them getting put in or not. This was all the updates to each season was. A new map or 2 here, a new weapon or 2 there, and LOTS OF FORCE PACK SKINS EVERYWHERE. The devs just gave up on coming up with any new ideas to make the game fun or anything which is why a lot of people started to abandon ship as each season came out.
@Artorikus Panamaman/Watarlog, he's a great artist with a very unique style responsible for the initial art direction of S4 League. He sadly passed away from cancer a couple years back, I haven't seen anyone replicate his style. A couple of attempts here and there but they fall short from his masterful use for shapes and colors.
@@PillowKing Oh, ok, I didn't know that! I agree about that unique style, but I hope that some good artist will be able to replicate it at least a bit!
