LOL I've tried knocking out Shetland at the beginning... It worked and then Lambert says "Are you out of your mind?" and then the mission failed screen appears saying "MISSION FAILED" and "You are out of your mind" :DDD
+ShadowToast That was one thing that made it funny if you failed in this version it would actually display a reason like what you said and I got pissed because I kept getting seen in the US Embassy level so I did a head shot on the guard and it said the mission failed screen said "You used lethal force" Then in this level when you are in the underground section I killed one of those people at the tables with all the crap on it thinking that since they were out of contact it wouldn't matter but nope mission failed screen with "You have killed civilians" :XD

Wait a sec... how the hell don't they notice a box strapped to the nose of the plane? He didn't even conceal it. I guess these guards are a batch of rejects from Shadow Moses.
+Elyseon Well he did turn the lights out in the hanger and the way it was turned off it sounds like he either disconnected a wire or blew a fuse.
I could not understand
The one thing I missed from the new Splinter Cell was the news snippets you see at the beginning of each mission, made things feel a bit more "real" I guess. Chaos Theory was the last game to have them!
Norman Bates they didn't actually take those away, if you pressed the button to open the little summary of the mission you could hear the reporting from news media about the blacklist and how people are starting to become manic. after you save Chicago the next mission if you wait before starting the mission cutscenes they talk about Chicago and how some people are speculating that's where the attack was but it was stopped.

For all of those who keep asking why the enemies can't see the 3 lights on the goggles remember that IT'S A VIDEO GAME and I have a pair of infrared NV binoculars that can record video and audio I got them just for fun and although the infrared LED's are right on the front when the device is on you CAN'T see them at all.
The main purpose in the game for them is so the PLAYER can see him or herself

This was the mission i always remembered of the game. As a young lad, I was so short sided, so I was always puzzled why we were so close to the villain but never simply took him out.

Definitely one of my fave Splinter Cell games, apparently some modders fixed the PC port and got volumetric lights working again.

21:38 The PS2 version of this segment is straight up broken. They immediately become suspicious even though you are on the pipe. Always pissed me the hell off.

In the PC/Xbox/PS2/Gamecube versions, the plants there were indeed cannabis. In the HD trilogy for the PS3, it's just tall grass.

I'm dreading this mission now. It looks longer than a lot of the other missions. Gotta give you props for doing the whole mission so expertly.

Nope. The Jerusalem level is a whole 3 mins longer and aside from that this is actually the longest of the missions in Centerstrains run of Pandora Tomorrow.

All of the accents, actually. Strangely, even french. Most likely they couldn't do that because of low budget, not because they didn't care. Back in those days, devs and, most importantly, publishers cared for the consumers.

@@RoundenBrown Different dev team. This made by Ubisoft Shanghai instead of Montreal. I think they made this on a lower budget while the the main studio had all of the money to make Chaos Theory with.

+PokeMaster22222 If you look at the beginning he has an annotation that said he couldn't do commentary because his computer crashed. At the making of his SC 3 walkthrough he said Best Buy was essentially giving him the runaround on getting it fixed.
Even if I didn't build and fix computers for a living, this is why I would never take my computer to Best Buy. Corporate HQ has a bad habit of firing anyone (except for managers) if they find out they're making more than $10 an hour. So if you take your computer to them, and if you're *lucky*, you'll get a college student studying computer science who is working at Best Buy for the employee discount, or someone who is retired from an I.T. job (like one of the guys at the local Best Buy who used to work for the highway department) and is working there just to have something to do in their free time.
In other words, someone who actually *knows what they're doing*, and not someone who is just reading from the step-by-step troubleshooting manual. Sometimes not even the manager of the Geek Squad is knowledgeable. One time I needed a cable to connect a 2.5" (laptop) drive to a desktop computer for data recovery. The manager told me (and I quote): "I've never heard of it, so it probably doesn't exist."
I went down the street to a mom-and-pop computer store, told them what I wanted, and they immediately said, "Oh, *this* is what you need. That'll be $15 plus tax." Of course, I drove back to Best Buy and dangled it in the manager's face. "See this? This is the thing you were telling me doesn't exist. $15 at the computer store down the road. Have a nice day."
So it doesn't surprise me at all that they gave Centerstrain the run-around on getting it fixed. Probably, whatever the problem was, it was something that wasn't in their step-by-step troubleshooting manual.
SpearM3064 Yeah I work at Walmart and I had a lady come in my line who bought a computer there and bought their extended warranty and something happened and they told her they would have to send to another place it would be 8 plus weeks and they wanted her to buy a $300 for them to transfer the data from the hard drive inside her dead one I am like you and have the knowledge etc and I knew she was being duped in more ways than one.
I think it should also be noted that their employees have a bad habit of taking advantage of people especially if you are woman, a college student, or a senior citizen/elderly which she fit conditions 1 and 3.
+Gary Beltz To be fair, *replacing* the hard drive *is* covered under warranty. Transferring the data from the dead hard drive is (usually) *not*. If the electronics failed, they have to use a clean room and remove the platters from the dead hard drive and transfer it to an identical drive where the electronics work, then copy the files. It can cost from $300 to as much as $1,000 depending on whether or not the data itself was damaged.
I used to work for Dell as an in-field technician; if a hard drive failed, we just replaced it with a pre-imaged hard drive (meaning that once it completed setup, it would have exactly the same contents as when you bought the computer). Dell did not transfer any files off the old hard drive. For that matter, if you had any printers or other devices that required drivers, we didn't install those either; *that* was up to the *user*. Our job was to make sure that the image on the drive was unpacking properly... once it got to the Windows screen that said "Copying files to the hard drive", we would get the user to sign our paperwork and our job was done.
(I'm a nice guy, though. If it was local, I would offer to come back later and install drivers "off the clock", and as long as the hard drive's motor and electronics still worked, I would offer to *try* to recover any files for a reasonable amount, usually about $100. But if the hard drive was truly completely dead, there was nothing I could do.)
SpearM3064 I understand what you mean I've watched videos from ACSData and other hard drive data recovery companies but the the fact that they told her that SHE had to buy a whole new computer to do the data transfer is utter BS there are hard drive enclosures and software like Acronos, Carbon, Copy Cloner, and Super Duper to name a few that can clone the drive onto another one.

Yo, I love your work, but to make it funnier at the end, when you throw the flashbang, you should turn around and look at the wall behind you till it goes off, then as you're running through the idiots you can see them dancing around in pain, lol.

quick question: did the pistol have a laser pointer in this version of the game? I seem to remember that the pc version did, that was really useful for shooting out lights because one did miss quite a bit just using the crosshair thing, me at least.
Someone help me ASAP I can't get past minute 15:00 legit everytime I've tried everything and it all the time says mission oppertunity failed and fails me the mission everytime when I have to use a sticky cam for the conversation between sadona and his men help me good god I cannot pass this mission

I was trying to do the No Kill Option Engaged Achviement on Blacklist and didnt get it...only time I killed someone was when playing as Briggs...wtf happened I have no idea.
HCUhardcoreUnited Assuming you’re talking about the Railyard mission, just replay the mission and try to leave everyone undisturbed. Briggs has some noisemakers for making distractions and some sleeping gas grenades if you really need to knock people out, but he only has lethal melee and weapons. They’re tough segments, but far from undoable.
This game was so fun only a liitle bit unrealistic that they sometimes dont spot you. If you just litterly stand in front of them. It was still amazing tho.(sorry for bad english)

The first three were great, and Chaos Theory is still the best of the series. I personally use pc for gaming and I hate how lazy was the pc port for Pandora. It looks awful. The game is good but ubisoft was just plain lazy with the pc version.

I just got the PC version and it's much different from the XBOX version I had.. I don't remember it being this hard, I can be in COMPLETE DARKNESS and still get detected if guards are around.. I HAVE to take em out..Can't avoid them...Sucks...

It must be the PC Version, because on my PS2 the shadows no matter how slow i was did not save me from detection, and i played it at least 10 times over and over. People really need to stop trying to talk like something is similar because its not. I've noticed on most PC games, Final Fantasy 8 for example, the game play is the same but results are very different. But I do appreciate some good tips though.
Trust Blood This is the PS3 version. I have both PS2 and PS3 versions of the game and I agree that it was hard to slip past enemies. But when the collection came out for the PS3 it was actually improved. So I'm guessing Ubisoft fixed some things with the game.
+Marqus Nuffsaid What was different about the PS2 version I had the PS2 versions of 1 and 3 and noticed both them and the HD collection versions are different levels, different backgrounds in areas, more autosaves, etc but what did the PS2 version have? I only had PT for PC and of course this HD version.
