THE GOLDEN AGE - BEHIND THE SOUND OF A CASSETTE TAPE LOOP

About the creative process behind the ambient music track "THE GOLDEN AGE". I found perfect little voices recorded on old magnetic tapes and I tried to make a lo-fi ambient tape loop of them on cassette... then I played the loop with delay, reverb and timestreching pedals. The first part of the video explains the creative process: finding the sound, making the cassette loop... And the second part is a live music track that I play using the tape loop I made in part one and my modular synthetizer..

What pitch correction did you use?

I use the "flex pitch" from Logic Pro X. One of the best tool for pitch correction, and it is native with the DAW ;-)

@@alastpicturefromvoyager Dude, you’ve just fucking blown my mind. Been using logic for 13 years, completely ignored flex-pitch when i’d use flextime for things. It looked native, which is why i asked! Forget melodyne, you just changed my life! Thank you, sir.
