I just bought a clump of goldenrod at a garden club sale this morning. So glad I checked you out to know where to plant it! From a dead stalk this one looks to get tall and sprawling. I've got the perfect place next to the road. Thank you for being there.
Very nice video. I saw this at a relative's backyard this weekend in Georgia and an organic farm identified it for me. So I decided to look at some videos today. Since I am studying herbalism and I am fascinated by any plants or weeds I see. Goldenrod is medicinally good for wounds and burns!
The 'some kind of hornet' (~0:34) is a beetle: either the locust borer, "Megacyllene robiniae, commonly known as the locust borer...a serious pest to Robinia pseudacacia, the black locust tree", or the hickory borer. But probably the locust borer. ...it's like I was staring at the very thorax of evil...
Love, love , love goldenrod, you get extraordinarily late season pollination , fantastic stuff
Yes indeed, thanks for watching!

It's the non-invasive goldenrod species I want in my garden next season!.
