My favorite memory is in the late 70’s my mom, aunt, best friend and I went for a luau at the Polynesian. It was fantastic ! The food, dancers, atmosphere. I truly felt like I was somewhere else and not in Disney. Very vivid core memories there. I miss that. 🌺🗿🌺
We were fortunate enough to stay at Wilderness Lodge opening day and every time I visit I just love to sit in a chair by the fire and it’s my happy place. It also has my favorite club level food!
Perfect timing. I just finished the first Orlando cruise vlog and Jessica's day in the Life vlog. I am from South Africa so this is perfect to listen to in the background while doing some work admin. I was fortunate to go to Disney in 2005. We stayed off-property, but love anything Braun Family and Disney. Especially the vlogs and podcasts. There are so many things I did not remember but once I see the b-roll or hear the descriptions it brings it all back. Every time I make Bobotie (One of our local traditional recipes and my favourite) I always hear how they pronounce it like bobotie ( as in suit and tie and the two bo's the same as Bow). I have not seen you make it in a vlog in a while. I know others have given guides to pronounce it, my main points would be to at least pronounce the -tie as tea. If you want to go the next step the two "bo"s are pronounced differently. One day I will think of a way to phonetically say it better, but for now, it is Boo (as is Caspar the ghost or any ghost Boo) B-oh (as in ooh I remember now) and tie is pronounced the same as tea. So all together it is Boo b oh tea 🍛

that staircase reminds me of the BradyBunch staircase every time I’m on it🤷🏼♀️ Speaking of pre-fixed menu, unfortunately California Grille is still on that menu since COVID and I believe it’s staying that way, I have heard because people would come to dine there and will eat just an appy just to get into the experience and to view the fireworks 😮
Love the episode! We actually own dvc at poly and find the rooms closer to the TTC to be super convenient…one of the things I love about Disney is trying all the different places to see and what fits your unique style ajd preferences! And yes to a Disney wish episode…we just booked through people mover travel for the Wish for next year 🎉

The DVC lounge at contemporary is the Villains lair. To get in u need reservations and a decent chunk of money for dinner. It’s kind of like the dessert party at MK but full blown dinner and bar. Otherwise, any dvc member can check in at the booth by first floor elevators and go see the fireworks from up there. Which I highly recommend. It’s the most beautiful view I’ve ever seen at Disney.
My parents would take my sister and I to the Polynesian every other year for our birthday. We’d stay in the club resort. I have sooo many core memories! I have not stayed there since 2004 (had a 15 year hiatus from Disney-not by choice). I know it’s expensive but I’m thankful for my parents taking us there. It will be a dream to go back as an adult.
We recently went to Storybook dining and hands down it has been the BEST character dining experience we have ever had. At the time, our daughter was 7 months. It was her fist character encounter and they couldn’t have been any better with her. They took their time and made it so special. I have such a funny story to go with it.. lol Anyway, highly recommend it with your girls. They will love it and the food theming is incredible. I wish more character meals were like this. It’s very immersive
Super random but I actually met the voice of Sebastian (Samuel e wright) and he signed my movie poster and my Sebastian stuffed animal. I was really young and I loved the Little Mermaid so when we heard that he would be at our local store (I think it was a Blockbuster) then we had to go and see him. He was really nice 😊
I appreciate that some folks have a lot more money than I do -- but even then, $700+ a night, when most of the time at the hotel is for time you'll be sleeping, is mind-boggling to me. I assume most people spend most of their waking hours in the parks. If that were my plan, the very most I'd spend would be a moderate resort and even then, I'd feel slightly sick to my tummy about the cost of a moderate. lol! But more power to the folks that have $4900+ for one single week of sleeping space and want to spend that. (Yes, I know there are nice restaurants and pools. lol)
I appreciate Disney but not the prices. I was in Orlando for a wedding and did “Disney without the Parks”. I think that would be a fun future episode to put an itinerary together for a day at Disney without going into a park. I could also see a future video on tips and resources for people with mobility issues being highly viewed and useful.
I stayed til the last minute! Being a teen of the 60s I'm a diehard Beatles fan. May Pang was John Lennon's girlfriend at that time. As a family we stayed at the Grand Floridian on our first trip and The Beach Club on our second. Loved them both. The Grand Floridian lobby was elegant. The character restaurant (1900 Pare Fare) had a calliope up by the ceiling that played constantly. I remember 2 things specifically about the Beach Club..the shipwreck pool (so cool) and the fact that just a few yards out the back door was the bridge to walk over to Epcot! Such great memories! Well you can tell I wrote my comments before you talked about the Grand Floridian! Jessica leans over to check the time, BONK!, her headphones hit the mike. 😂 And later Tyler kicks her accidentally. 😂 Is there still a price tag on the bottom of Tyler's mug??? 😉
We asked a cast member at the contemporary about the construction of Reflexions (property at ft wilderness that got pulled). Apparently they came across a giant sink hole and had to stop. Not sure what the status is or if it’s even true but I was glad to have some answer, just because lol.
Y’all are making me regret my career choice. Nursing has been eventful but in the name of research, I want to become a travel planner. The Wilderness is on my list to stay at.
I think a fun video idea would maybe be providing different examples of “if this is your budget”, this is what we recommend you do. Maybe at a high,medium and low price range. Obviously just very generic examples. It’s a dream of mine to go to Disney, but I don’t even know how much I should be saving for the trip.

I feel like the contemporary does nothing for me aesthetically but the monorail part is cool. The Grand Floridian looks stunning. Poly looks absolutely amazing. Fort Wilderness Lodge looks gorgeous. I'm not really into the whole modern minimalist thing so maybe that's why the contemporary doesn't float my boat. It just seems so basic inside...minus the monorail part.
You two are truly gifted at this form of content, and I know it's not easy. Thank you for it! I have one suggestion - perhaps split the videos up even more, or just lean into the long-form, long length of the content (you already mostly are!). My FIL used to hate hate double hate loathe entirely Disney world as a whole until I made us stay at a 2 bedroom villa at the copper creek now they’re pass holders 😂 I always joke that hotel was his gateway drug 😂😂

They used to have a boat that would go from fort wilderness to contemporary for wilderness lodge and back to ft wilderness. That got cancelled with pandemic and we haven’t seen it come back. Maybe with the dvc redo of ft wilderness it might
