You know, its awesome watching these all those years ago and wishing these series would pop up in SRW and now seeing at least half of them popping up now!
to my knowledge, there are 3 series originally connected to the Macross story. the original Macross story which many fans know as the macross saga, then there is the Robotech Masters saga, then the Invid invasion saga, I heard Funimation is dubbing a newer 4th saga called the Shadow Chronicles. so that would turn it to a total of 4 total stories connected to macross.

The Jushin Liger wrestling gimmick was inspired by this anime which was created by Super Robot anime pioneer Go Nagai, the opening theme is also the wrestler Liger's entrance theme. The wrestler turned out to be more popular than the anime his gimmick was based on.
These are the only ones I recognized, if anybody could fill in the blanks, I'd be really grateful,Cybuster, Gunbuster 2, Vandread, Godannar, Lord of Lords Ryu Knight, Dual! Parallel Trouble, Magic Knight Rayearth, Gundam Seed Destiny Stargazer, Eureka 7, VOTOMS, and GunxSword

incorrect again, Macross in japan only had one season, the macross saga. the other two were other shows edited in by Harmony gold to make a 51 episode series.
I'm actually a fan of the giant robot thing, I said I havent geeked out on it in years, that doesnt make me a "non-fan" of it. I did notice my geekdom in regards to the giant robots is only a small fragment compared to the ammount needed to recognise EVERY giant robot. gundams, veritechs, that's as far as my knowledge reaches, but I did catch a little info on the getter mechas. still just scratching the surface. eh, life is a journey, cant rush it. ^_^
I havent exactly geeked out on giant robots in years, cut me a break. and you cant exactly declare my earlier statement moot in regards to how it was released in the USA.

I've noticed, the robot you see at the beginning of the video looks almost Exactly like GaoGaiGar, yet completely different at the same time.
Not that i've found, There were 2 seasons of it but only one movie.
Only the minor works were collected and it was made.
