One of the beach balls hit his in ear monitor, his headphone and disconnected from his ear. Not a bad Lars moment. He played so good those nights in his hometown.
One of the balls knocked out Lars' earpiece. When you're playing to a click track like that, especially when you have a speaker setup like they do where there's echo, it becomes nearly IMPOSSIBLE to keep time. This isn't a "Lars Bad" moment, it's just a technical goof. It happens.
@@madebymanu yes they play to a click track. Every professional musician worth Jack fuck all plays to a click to keep time. ESPECIALLY the drummer. Lars has played to a click since the 90s.
@@TransDrummer1312 You are mistaken. Lars might do the count in to a click, which he probably is, but he is not playing to one. A tempomap created from Metallica live recordings shows this easily. Also many great drummers don‘t play to clicktracks. Acdc, Foo Fighters, Green Day, Stones, just to name a few. I‘m a seasoned audio engineer who has worked with many bands and know people how worked with these bands, toox
They released those fucking balls then one hit Lars and disconected his earpice/sound thingy and he couldn't hear the rest of them. I watched it happen right before my eyes
Typical hater. They released those fucking balls than one hit Lars and disconected his earpice/sound thingy and he couldn't hear the rest of them. I watched it happen right before my eyes

Yeah, I don't understand the need for the giant beach balls. Both for the band and the audience, it must be pretty distracting.
This happened in Parken, Copenhagen 14th of June 2024
Good to see rhey Always play the frayed ends of sanity opening when something goes wrong with the drums or they are waiting on lars.

The Greatfull Dead started that with the beach ball before everyone else started doing it.
