The Arcam SA20 is awesome. Had it over a year now. Upgraded from an Emotiva TA-100. No regrets! Paired with a JBL HDI-1600 (black ash is $1k for the pair) Just awesome!!!
Can sound fantastic, trade-off on also having pretty limited in vertical dispersion of all of the high end frequencies. Not a deal breaker if you plan to sit and listen, if you stand or move around though, the presentation can change noticeably.
BF Kef advice: For near field listening + subwoofer get the LS50 Meta. For room listening and optional subwoofer get the Concerto Meta. The Concerto Meta are R3s with less SPL and a modest cabinet, but they sound is great.
I just lucked up on some lintons for $400 each at Crutchfield scratch and dent. I hope they come in good. I hope they are not all messed up because you know how idiots like to take a screwdriver to get the grills off. I hope that’s not the problem but for 400 each Might not matter I got them in black so it’ll be easy to patch up any scars plus my opinion they sound better with the grills on. OK Joe keep up the good work bringing us the news on sales because if I have to send these back for being too messed up. I will look into those other Wharfdale evos my hubbies not picky on his Christmas presents as long as it’s a pair of speakers.

Maybe I use it to power my ESL-63, my current Luxman L-550AX Class A Integrated amp sound great with Quad Electrostatic Loudspeaker. I wonder if the newest Arcam A25 sound even better.
@@adamnocon9432 I think it depends on how loud you like to listen. The Arcam is a class G design. So please tell me the downside of taking 0.25 - 1.75 seconds to hit that subscribe button. 😂 Thanks for the video Randy. Hope you and your family have a great holiday season.
As an old audiophile and retired EE, I can simplify what it is. Essentially, it (a Class-G amp) is a Class-AB amp with a 2-tiered power supply. Normally, the amp operates at the lower (+/-) supply rails and will switch to the higher (+/-) supply rails as the signal demands a greater output voltage level for more output power. It (Class-G) is not new, as it has been around for decades now. Initially released on the market back then by Hitachi. Recently improved upon by the British audio EE Doug Self.
@spencerroberts4940 What I described is a Class G amp. The double-tiered (+/-) power supply rails define its operation. A regular Class-AB amp has only a single tier (+/-) power supply rail config. Please re-read. I edited the original comment with added ( ) info insertions to clarify it. Hope that helps. Cheers.
