Thank you so much! I have been trying to drift a stock brz but it kept spinning out because the steering was limited. Now i can drift with no problem so thanks!
Thank you so much man!, I've been looking for a way to adjust the ackerman cause my chase wheel didn't have enough angle and wanted to pull me back straight but now i can fix that.
Hiii i wanted to ask about which paremeter change how strong the stering is(im not talking about ffb confings im talking about the physics because i don't know which parameters make my ffb more or less weak)
so the way i have always done it is, the steer ratio in suspension app should match your steer ratio in data to achieve full ffb quality. to get the numbers to match you adjust the linier steer rod ratio. So in car data, steer ratio is set to 8.0, in game you should turn the wheel 90 degrees and the steer ratio should match. if it dose not match adjust linier steer rod ratio until it dose.
@@SHADOWxlxHUNTER Yeah every time i adjust anything with the knuckle the steer ratio and linier steer ratio need to be adjusted to match. These are things i was taught years ago by people like John Grey and Floria Calin and a few others.
that and with my own personal testing and about 5 years of messing with data i would 100% say there is higher quality feedback when the 2 match. just my opinion on all this steer ratio stuff
if that works for you and its how you like it, thats cool man. ive made mods that way before and i dont think it matters, all the cars ive driven that id consider to have the best FFB arent setup that way either. Ideally if youre matching to an IRL car and you have the proper geometry, youd use the IRL car's steering rack ratio for the steer ratio, and adjust LSRR to match the IRL car steering angle.
@@SHADOWxlxHUNTER I'm definitely going to be looking more into it. I just know if you want a specific ratio in game you match the 2 and the feedback will now replicate that ratio. I'm always interested in learning new things with assetto.
Do you have any knowledge about suspension development in Assetto Corsa? I'm building a mod as well but I can't find a video that'll actually help and I'd be really grateful if you can maybe cover it in a video. TIA
Thats a complex topic and to do it well you would really benefit from using a suspension kinematics program (I use one). I can see if there is a way I can make an easily digestible video at some point. In the mean time, Read the Physics Pipeline that Arch put together, it helps a ton: github.com/archibaldmilton/Girellu/wiki/Physics-Pipeline

Very nice now I can try drifting that MX-5 cup car!

Thank you for making a video of what I needed to know!!
Thank you friend i just did my first tune thanks to you!
Wow, was thinking about this earlier today😅

Great Tutorial!

thats not required for good/quality ffb. Kunos cars dont even match like that. Plus adjusting alignment will change that ratio number.

@@SHADOWxlxHUNTER Thanks a lot, I'll give it a read
Hey, do u know how to make a rear wheel steering? (AHK function) Thanks!
My problem is that I can find the data folder for the AE86, am I missing something??
open car in content tab then press at the bottom "unpack data". if thats not there the data is encrypted most likely. have a blessed one!
I just did it but now the wheels turn in to the inside of the wheelhouse
I can finally go through the hairpin at Monaco with an F1 car without touching Barry R.
Screw Barry R,.
0:25 I cant find it
it dosent show the "unpack data" for me
just follow the directory (seen on top of the notepad window) on your file explorer
what do i do if the car is encrypted?
Fire
No but God bless you
why not?
@@foxyscontent713he probably can't do it
How do You get the camera to stay put when your car goes sideways?!
