My kids are grown up and I miss those days . My ornaments have a special meaning to me. I’ve been married for 47 yrs and have been getting a dated ornament since 1974. Plus I’ve been getting ornaments from all over the world from people that traveled and knew I collected ornaments. My husband and I use to travel a lot so every place we went I’d pick up a beautiful ornament and a teacup. I started my kids on dated ornaments and they look forward to getting their new ornaments each Thanksgiving. Brings memories each year when I hang them 🎄🎄
I have a red ceramic car with Santa, a reindeer, a snowman, and a mouse that winds up and plays an instrumental "Here Comes Santa Claus" tune. It belonged to my grandparents when I was a little girl and I was obsessed with it. When my grandpa passed away my grandma gave it to me.❤ I also have a light up snowman that my mom gave me that stands about 4 ft tall. And of course every little ornament that my kids have made or that has their picture on it are my absolute favorites.
Oh how I’m gonna miss these Christmas decorating videos. I absolutely love Christmas decor and lights. This year I put up 15 trees. Absolutely the most wonderful time of the year.
I am not fully decorated either ,so you’re very inspirational for me. I’ve been working out of town so I can’t get things done at home . So when I get home I try to do a little bit every time I’m home with the decorating. I love watching your videos in my hotel rooms getting ideas for when I get home. My very favorite Christmas decorations are the ornaments from my childhood, my collection of vintage colorful glass ball ornaments, my vintage Nativity scene and my tiny handmade German houses I get each year from our outdoor German market. However my truly favorite Christmas decoration is....my kitty Violet!!! She is the heart of my home! ☆♡☆

I love getting out my Nutcrackers for Christmas. Since I took dance lessons when I was a child, The Nutcracker show is one of my favorites. elfs are fun too. I stuck mine in the refrigerator one day…as we have clothes for ours too. lol

But what impresses me the most is how you confidently put all these beautiful items out in your home with cats running about! I can't even leave my phone unattended without fear of it being destroyed. What's your secret?
Thank you so much!!! That is the nicest comment ever! The cats (and kids) seem to keep to themselves, we have had a couple items get destroyed but in 2014 we lost a ton of things in a 6.0 earthquake (we actually had to rebuild our house from the foundation up, it took 3 years) and I stopped caring as much about the "things" and more about having fun and making each moment memorable.

I'm very sorry about the earthquake, but very happy none of you were hurt! Sometimes, I lose sight of things are just things. My favorite decoration is my Santa’s Marching Band! It’s Santa and his elves playing Christmas carols on bells. I had one growing up and scoured EBay to find one for myself.
Love it, so sweet, so pretty! ❤ My favorite thing I bring out is a plastic church with stained glass looking windows, lights up, winds up, plays a music box Christmas song. It's totally an antique. Grew up with as a little girl. Gazing at it reminds me of the magic of Christmas through childhood eyes 🙏❤

I really like red,green,white and gold colors the most for Christmas decor. It is the beautiful time of the year,especially the lights in the dark days of December. Everything is so gorgeous! My little one loves the Elf! Our elf just moves around my Christmas decor, he doesn’t get into any big mischief.. although sometimes he will ride a horse Christmas ornament, or put “Rudolph noses” (red Pom poms) on our family photos! 😉 ❤️ he’s a simple little guy over here lol!
Coincidentally, my favorite things to decorate with each year are deer. My tree is only decorated with them and they are in nearly every vignette. My second favorite are the bottle trees and other various types of trees. I have forests galore. But nothing I do is comparable to your gorgeous style and energy level!

Oh what fun it is to have Lauren for your mom! Your children must just love you to pieces. You are a decorating genius. Everything looks beautiful. If you decide to bottle your energy and sell it I might be interested. My favorite Christmas decorations are on my mantle. They are glittered reindeer and glass trees from Pottery Barn. I really like red,green,white and gold colors the most for Christmas decor. It is the beautiful time of the year,especially the lights in the dark days of December. Everything is so gorgeous! My little one loves the Elf! Our elf just moves around my Christmas decor, he doesn’t get into any big mischief.. although sometimes he will ride a horse Christmas ornament, or put “Rudolph noses” (red Pom poms) on our family photos! 😉 ❤️ he’s a simple little guy over here lol!
Coincidentally, my favorite things to decorate with each year are deer. My tree is only decorated with them and they are in nearly every vignette. My second favorite are the bottle trees and other various types of trees. I have forests galore. But nothing I do is comparable to your gorgeous style and energy level!

Im glad you post your videos now, I’m always late with my decorating but should finish up today….my children are older 32, 27 and 21 but they all come home for Christmas 🎄 and bring there boyfriends, girlfriend . So I try to make it as festive as I can. You are such an inspiration. I seem to have over the years collected Christmas trees. I look forward to seeing the Christmas tour. “Merry Christmas”! 🎄
