I know someone who had appendicitis who had theirs burst. He wss in the hospital for a few months and nearly died. He got sepsis. His liver failed, kidneys failed, was having heart issues. He was only 11 at the time.... it is a pretty big deal.
When I was in high-school I went to bed fine, woke up not being able to get out of my bed. When I did get out of bed I was throwing up constantly every time I had to move. My mom said I could skip school which I did, however she had to go bring lunch for my dad. (This would have been an hour plus trip btw) Now this was the only time I experienced this feeling in my life, but when my mom said she had to go I felt that if she left without me I would have died. It was the scariest feeling I had ever had. So I asked to go with her. On the way to drop off lunch we went over a speed bump.. Now this was the most painful speed bump I have ever went over in my life, Instant 9/10 pain and I was instantly throwing up after we went over it. I then looked at my mom and told her to take me to the hospital now (I don't remember if I was yelling or not when I said it). We went to the children's hospital which was like 30 min away and the moment I walked in I had an ultrasound in less than 10 min. They saw me and rushed me to the back and the ultrasound showed my appendix had ruptured slightly and was already leaking. In less than an hour I was having an emergency appendectomy. Everything went well. The doctor told me that one way to tell if it is appendicitis is to jump up and down (which is what the speed bump simulated) and that will give extreme pain. I still think to this day what would have happened if I didn't go with my mom and decided to take a nap. Very frightening thoughts. edit: also the appendix is pretty useful. Nobody really knew what it did so people always said it was useless, but in reality it is home to millions of foreign bacteria that helps with digestion. (which is why when it ruptures bad stuff happens). You can still live without it, but once removed you will probably have to poop more often because of it.
That's scary! I'm glad you went with her and she was able to get you to the hospital in time. Ngl, appendicitis freaks me out because it's so dangerous and actually legal, and yet I could totally see people, including myself, ignore the symptoms thinking it's something else.

Doctors: I’m bout to speed run this man
Lud: what??
Doctor: ssssh go to sleep
Just hurry up and SLEEP!
I'm surprised it isn't called "How I almost died."
That moment he talks about the subathon and thinks it will only take 48 hours maximum...
Lud: I don’t know what it was
Chat: aLcOhOl
Plot twist: he was so drugged out of his mind that he didn't notice the surgery went into 9:30 of the next day.
I’m sockono
I know someone who had appendicitis who had theirs burst. He wss in the hospital for a few months and nearly died. He got sepsis. His liver failed, kidneys failed, was having heart issues. He was only 11 at the time.... it is a pretty big deal.
I had mine slightly rupture as an 8 yr old. Not fun my dude
Did they feel pain before it happened? Or did it happen spontaneously?
@@buzzkillington6945 you have terrible and constant stomach aches and vomiting before it actually bursts usually
Ludwig says the plan is simple. “I haven’t heard that name in a long time”
Ludwig crying during Attack on Titan is me crying at the end of Cool Runnings.
The nurses involvement in the photo makes it 1000x better
This made me tear up. Damn man, reminded me how much i miss my childhood dogs. Love ya Lud. Stay strong.
Lud got treated in my home town, tf? But man, that sucks. Sounds like a hard trip tbh, sorry about your dog.
Good ol dirty lew
Lewiston?
I live in bangor
its funny that ludwig became number one streamer on twitch cause of his appendix bursting
I like how luds gone from posting a TH-cam video when he starts streams to posting a video as close to 12:00 AM as possible
Ludwig’s Appendix: Have you heard about throwing for content?
Out, out, out
I'm not sure if this was intentional but the editor left out that when he left the dinner table because of his dog, his dog followed him.
:(
Lud didn't eat before taking pain killers big no no haha.
Ludwig: I couldn't taste anything
Everyone in chat: MonkaS Pregnant
That one weeb: He became a GhOuL
When I was in high-school I went to bed fine, woke up not being able to get out of my bed. When I did get out of bed I was throwing up constantly every time I had to move. My mom said I could skip school which I did, however she had to go bring lunch for my dad. (This would have been an hour plus trip btw)
Now this was the only time I experienced this feeling in my life, but when my mom said she had to go I felt that if she left without me I would have died.
Ludwig talks about his appendix... me starting to feel my appendix area hurt
Oh shiet
Wait I got my appendix removed last year
"I mean if if I'm live for 48 hours, I'm live for 48 hours" Oh bro you have NO idea
"did they just die 100 years ago?"
Yes, Ludwig. Yes they did. Back in WW1 if you had a broken limb, it was an 80% chance you would die because of their lack of knowledge. Shit was awful.
Man, that break was so fast I didn't even see when it started.
