reference tracks and listening is a bit more time consuming but it works u rly dont need the most expensive shit, u "just" need to understand how sound works, digital and in space

Well you only really need to use a 3rd part tune if you haven't done this before, so basically your own music becomes the reference track. I kinda cheat a bit because I just make new music from a track whos sounds already mixed well before which removes alot of the work, however this is one of the Reasons some peoples music sounds the same with every new release.
@@HOLLASOUNDSWell, to be fair, if you go on the same roadtrip 100 times, you're probably going to remember the roads you take and you will need GPS less and less. Same goes with mixing :D (Im very proud of that metaphor lol)
