- deUntold - Born on March 25, 1940, in the small town of Barnsdall, Oklahoma, Anita Jane Bryant grew up in a devoutly Christian household. Her love for music blossomed early, and by the age of 12, she had her own TV show. At 18, she earned the title of Miss Oklahoma, a stepping stone to national fame.
Bryant’s singing career soared in the late 1950s and early 1960s with hits like ‘Till There Was You,’ ‘Paper Roses,’ and ‘In My Little Corner of the World.’ Two of her songs even cracked the Top 10 on the Billboard charts in 1960.

Oh, also liked some of her songs. She had a strong clear voice.
Ya my fav is in my little corner
@@deUntold_chShe’s in a little corner, alright…
I think Anita Bryant was treated unjustly...She was a very good and caring person. Being gay and coming out at that time i still felt she should be able to say how she felt.
Ya I believe so, but the truth is always with her
She had that right.. but she was so ignorantly wrong. Had she just a bit of education, understanding, and caring, the whole thing would have gone differently. But no - she chose HATE. And that, unfortunately, is her legacy.
@@dma124 She was a homophobe and hurted a lot of people of that generation ..
ugh
What you think mate?
