It seems backwards that it took a year to get your NMC PIN as a Canadian trained nurse. It seems to me that Canadian nursing programs are more in-depth than the 3 year degree in the UK. I’m a UK trained Child Nurse who has just completed a Health Visitor BSc and I don’t think either of those are transferable in Canada. I assume because they’re very UK specific
Hi Kim, The Canadian is a 4 year general program which touches on all areas of nursing , than you specialise following graduation. I personally didn’t think it would take me that long either, but it did. It might just be NMC. I’d definitely do a bit more research, it could be transferable, you’d probably only be qualified at a Child’s nurse. But definitely look into it. Congratulations on completing your training btw 🥳
Hello, Sis I have just relocated and found myself in a HDU. Everything looks so weird to me because I have never worked in a critical care unit. I don't even know where to start learning. Please any advice on how to pull through. Thk you
I have started watching your videos and they are very helpful, I'm thinking of moving to the UK, I have 4 years of ICU experience, Is there any criteria to work in the ICU there ?
Glad I came across your video. I just got an offer yesterday. Am qualifying in September 🤞🏾

Hey! thanks for watching! TBH not really. The fact that you've got previous ICU experience will be good. id say just apply for an ICU post
So how long does it take for a new oversea nurse who has just arrived in the UK to get at band 5salary?
Depends on how long your registration process takes….took me 1 yr to become an RN in the UK
You’re beautiful Mashallah
