These video are great! Thank you. Since there was a caution at the last corner corner, how does that not set the finishing order coming to the checkered flag. The GTD finish should have been Cevy, Chevy, Ford.... but it was not.
Thomas Eaves It was a local yellow. While passing isn't allowed, the rules state that if you pass TO AVOID an accident, it is allowed. IMSA deemed that the cars that got through were only trying to continue racing at maximum speed and effort. The cars that got stuck were unlucky in their choosing of position while waiting for it to clear. After all that, it's pretty much every man for himself coming back to the finish line.
Thomas Eaves There's also a whole straight after that corner that was NOT under yellow. If it was a full course caution, you would be correct. A local yellow does not freeze the running order for the whole lap.
Team Communication: "Green green green, green green green" Driver: "Are all those greens really necessary? One or two would suffice" Team Communication: "Sorry, next time we'll say green seven times"...
I love those short highlight videos, but you don't need to add sound effects of cars hitting each other. We can see those hits, but there's no way you can hear them 100 meters above in a helicopter.
