For instance none of those JOseph married who had husbands, had husbands who complained, these were for the next life, not this one. But for others they could be quite young, or even older than Joseph, there is actually only 1 person who might have had an intimate relationship with joseph, but she bore no children, she went on later to remarry and had 2 children. One was well know to emma and joseph, living in their home with no other family. Emma of course had issues with polygam, but in the end a letter to her grand-daughter stated that she knew the Lord had actually commanded Joseph to do this. And it did bring many more children into this work, and because of it, Utah is still a favorable place to live. About 10 percent or less followed this once they came to Utah, and only a select number did in Navoo, it wasn't for everyone. It was a sealing that took place which meant it was bound here and in the next life. Although we don't read these actually marriges in the bible, at times the Lord did allow polygamy and it was only the concubines he finally told a prophet to tell Solomon to get rid of. People in the 1800's at that were not drive by sex in the way they are now, and sex was normal, but again joseph wasn't drive by it either, time and again there are no dna results with any children other than emma down the line.
