Taking note that the aam 4 is not used in this video therefore meaning something is wrong with it or for some reason it is a ridiculous modification that is there to just annoy those who grind the f15j(M) just putting it out there that SU27SM gets to skip 2 missiles in their grind as they have put r27 and the r27ER together as one modification. They are not the same missile and it irks me.
From what I've heard, the AAM-4 is unfinished or something and 120s are better right now. Also I'm glad I finished the 27ER grind before the patch on my Su-27, can't imagine grinding out all 5 missile modifications with Fox-3s around. Edit: Wait a minute, R-73s were tier 1 modifications on the Su-27, and they are tier 3 on the SM. Dear god, am I glad I decided on playing the F-15J instead.
@@LordTomi2011the Aam4s are just not producing what they should, gaijin has been given sources but denied all of them, it should be a close comparison to the aim120c-5 (I believe that’s what the missile was) the AAM4 is “technically” better in the long range because they produce less drag but only outside of the 50km range, so anything shorter than that it’s better to use the 120s due to their longer burn times, honestly though it’s not to crazy of a difference just WT players using the absolute meta no matter what
@@tristianisgaming9302 Thx for the explanation! I never really followed the Fox-3s' development, because I was worried about how they would affect the already compressed to hell gameplay. (Which is slightly better than I expected, simply because, to my surprise, Gaijin had the foresight to actually increase the br cap to 13.0 for them.)

They haven’t modeled the aam4s correctly, until gaijin stops acting like giant poo poo heads and accepts some of the sources they have on the aam4 the aim 120s are just better for warthunder matches currently, if we had bigger maps and smaller teams the aam4 would actually be better currently due to better drag than the 120’s making them better at longer ranges but topical gaijin, saying they added something that the community wants but not actually putting it in correctly *coughs* smaller team matchmaking *cough*
@@alphawolf1786 my only issue with that is they don’t announce that, they never said that they accept that the model is wrong but for the sake of game balance they are keeping the model the same, not telling anyone that gave them good sources or wanted to have stuff be realistic. Again I agree, even as a Japan main who loves top tier that an actual Aam4 in game is to strong right now
