The verbal explanation you give is fantastic, but the playing examples are so fast it's hard to hear the differences in the video. I'm sure live it is very clear. It would be helpful to have slower and faster examples, so that it can be seen and heard through the video format. Slower would benefit younger students or composers who aren't as familiar with these bowing techniques.
She did another video that has these bowings plus a few others: th-cam.com/video/gAS9QKTXMK0/w-d-xo.html I don't know if this one helps you more, hopefully it does
So simple, so clear. Thank you! Not sure why it took me so long to find such a helpful explanation!
Thank You, Meghan
I don’t know violins, but I would’ve though your sautille was tremolo. What’s the difference between sautille and tremolo? Great tutorial.
Thanks for sharing this information and clear distinction between these bowing styles.😊
Very good and nice explanation!
Great video and very clear explanation. Thank you!
Great video!!! Thank you.
Definitely learned something new! So cool! Thanks!
Thank you very much 👍
thank you so much!❤
Great video!!!!!!!!!
Perfect!
I would now think that when I see the top violinist rocking out on Vivaldi's "Summer" , they are using sautille. What say you ?
Hi! How to control your spiccato elbow so that the whole arm won't be moving along with the strokes? Thank you!
