@@kathconserv I like wearing jeans, and yes, they look good. But most places I worked for with "strict dress codes" did not allow jeans. I don't see the problem as long as they are clean and look good, but that's how some places are.
And they always wore miniskirts with no hosiery underneath. 😂

right. I remember that in Season 3 when she threw Alison's letter away and lie to both Billy & Alison. Smh. She had this hatred towards Alison every since her and Amanda schemed and cost her to get fired as President of D&D. It's so fucked up and morbid because Alison was the one who brought Brooke into D&D. They never had any negative interactions until Billy's wedding.

@@PrincessofPower84 right. But that was because Amanda brought Alison back to D&D and made her head rep again. Of course, that didn't sit too well with Brooke. Although Amanda did confess to Brooke what they did to Alison was mean and dirty and they practically owe Alison, Brooke didn't want to hear it. She dug up dirt on Amanda, to blackmail her, by bringing her ex husband Jack back into the mix. But it backfired because Brooke had no idea how dangerous Jack was until it was too late.

I loved the D&D scenes in this series. It’s amazing how much of everyone’s personal life gets brought up in this setting, when it’s supposed to be held to a minimum.
Amanda always bitchy but a bad ass...she treated Allison like crap and Brooke was a basket case..

I didn't like it when Alison quit because of billy didn't like they remodel it season 6 I didn't like having newer employees there either
Brooke was the MVP of season 4. Every scene she was just insane loved it
The audiences at the time REALLY hated Brooke's character, which was interesting considering she was no worse than anyone else on MP, who were all slightly batshit. Kristin Davis said she was walking in a department store at the time the show was airing and someone said "Oh god, there's Brooke...that bitch!" and she wanted to be like, "Um, I'm not ACTUALLY Brooke, it's a character I play on TV!" Haha.
This is a good observation, I do remember the viewers hated her then. But 25 years later, Brooke's one of the most popular views on these videos. The character definitely aged very well :)
@@sollycw3577 Definitely true - I think that's partially because Kristin Davis became really famous post melrose, and also, I think people thought she was like SUPER terrible at the time, but as I said, she really was no worse than any other of the messed up characters on the show...she absolutely has aged quite well :)
For those who don’t know it, but Kristin Davis started in Miss Spider’s Sunny Patch friends where she voiced the lead. Miss Spider was a much nicer character than Brooke Armstrong.
Me and my mom both hated Brooke. The things she did with her face 😆
I really think it's because when Kristin Davis plays any role, it's really full-throttle into a singular facet... And it's so well defined, that it also becomes one dimensional. It works really well for SATC's Charlotte, a character who was idealistic and whose challenge was to step outside her own boundaries. With MP's Brooke, it's pure selfish, bratty, manipulative, immature, spoiled... in other words, nothing endearing or charming to viewers. And yes, Brooke was universally hated - whereas Amanda, Sydney, and Kimberly were "love to hate" types, since there was always something delicious about them for viewers to sink their teeth into.
Billy should see what kind of person Brooke was especially on wedding when Alison told him about the letter Brooke destroyed
Billy thought Alison was lying.
Plus as I recall Amanda and/or Brooke convinced Billy to disregard the ravings of a desperate, deranged alcoholic (Alison).
I disliked Brooke but Amanda should have cut some slack on her as she helped her to scheme against Alison.
Because she just use her to get what she wants she done it before she do it again
Brooke almost got Amanda killed.
Brooke was a great catalyst character.

Kristin Davis was smart to leave when she did. After she did that Seinfeld episode in 1997 she got the part of Charlotte on Sex and the City and she was on SATC from 1998-2004 and then 2 SATC movies.
I think the character actually got written out, not by choice...the audience REALLY hated Brooke at the time, and the writers apparently needed to find a way to get rid of her...but, as you said, it all worked out for KD

Billy was a terrible husband to Brooke. I can't believe the writers made Brooke out to be the villain.
Yeah, right? Even before Billy decided he wants Brook dead, when their relationship was at its best, every time Brook tried to tell Billy what she thinks, he would always tell her to shut up. Scene after scene.

Amanda mentions here Lindy Toys. 🤔 Mmm..., That's the last company D&D had before Amanda lost it in season 5. If I remember correctly, that's what she said to Billy in the last episode of that season before he sent her packing.
