What did you use to create the animation?

Blender 3D free animation software at www.blender.org/download/ Takes a bit of time to learn but is free and very powerful. Planning to make a newbie video about blender reasonably soon.

Leaving the lineout is illegal. If they transfer early before contact go round or call truck and trailer.

He's not saying to leave the lineout, just to move away from the potential maul while staying in the lineout.

@@allenalongi9603 his instructions say to move away while the ball is being thrown in... which is a penalty for leaving the lineout

What if opposition see you not making contact and keep it at first man? Are you fucked?

+Peter Evans This video is old, refs have changed their way of dealing with this. (I like to think that they had to address the issue because of this video :>) You are correct, the front man has to be with the ball, ball visible, can still be bound with teammates, as soon as contact is made, the ball carrier can slip the ball to the back of the maul.
With the first man showing the ball, their is no obstruction and the defending team can ruck (or tackle??) the ball carrier. The new definitions suggest the defending team should not retreat, so I assume all this happens very fast.
Makes for a great pre-game chat with the ref.

+Jeremy Ellis I've noticed these new rules too, it makes for a far more interesting watch at line-out. The Chiefs are extremely good at it.
Do you like these new rules? (I should say new interpretation)

I find the new interpretation where the maul can stay bound as long as they present the ball, kind of strange since it looks like a flying wedge to me. I wonder if refs will allow the stay bound rule with the open field no ruck situation as in my new video at th-cam.com/video/pKdf-x3sHMs/w-d-xo.html
