Thanks for a thoughtful introduction to Bruno Delbonnel. So many people don't know how to talk about cinematography beyond "oooooh look! so pretty" Your videos obviously are an exception to this trend, while also educating viewers on how to appreciate and evaluate cinematography. Excellent work.
Please do one on korean Cinematographer Chung-Hoon Chung! Works include: Oldboy (2003), New World (2013), Thirst (2009), Sympathy for Lady Vengeance (2005), Boulevard (2014), Stoker (2013), Me and Earl and the Dying Girl (2015), The Handmaiden (2016).
Man I found your channel so late. Great video, I subscribed instantly because of the detailed analysis on Bruno Delbonnel and I just found out after seeing your other works that you're an Indian. Damn man. kudos to your work. Keep going, I haven't gone through all your work but I am sure that your videos will help me more and more as an Aspiring filmmaker. thank you so much and keep uploading videos and with this much quality.
Great job! Have you thought about cinematography of Larry Smith? I watched many films where he worked, but I still can't tell what is specific about him.
Pedro Moraes Phillippe Rousselot, Jack Cardiff, Robert Surtees, Gregg Toland, James Wong Howe, Nestor Almendros, Gabriel Figueroa, Sergei Urusevsky, Geoffrey Unsworth, Douglas Slocombe, John Alcott, Chris Menges...more suggestions soon. Thanks for the very interesting points of view and videos.
wolfcrow oh man, haha yeah, I mean Bennoi Debbie, I was searching up Irreversible and saw that Gaspar said he had to take cocaine cause his arm was too tired to hold the camera at times. so I thought it was Gaspar himself doing the camera work in his films. I've just checked the video out, again great job! I'm looking forward too more of these videos.
Ripping your Blu-rays or recording some high-quality streaming is not illegal if you're using the material for educational purposes. Grabbing the stuff from TH-cam isn't any more legal, and it only hurts what you are trying to teach, because the viewer only sees a highly recompressed, murky, blocky, unsharp video with messed up colors. It's not true to the vision of the cinematographer, nor faithful to the original...

What film is that in The frame between 1:12 and 1:14 with the black actors please?
I'd like to see one for Natasha Braier. Whilst I wasn't a big fan of The Neon Demon, I thought it looked fantastic.
In every part of a movie that you put, it starts to put the movie title, it's very important.
