    Just watched your ‘2021 year in review’. I was crocheting a lot the last few years and was saying that work was interfering with my crafting. I quit my job after 16.5 years for other reasons and slowly starting spending more time crafting, gearing up for Christmas. One of my daughters asked for some HP fingerless gloves, and I didn’t know how to do the thumb from the instructions. I contacted the designer and she told me it was an ‘afterthought’ thumb. I searched for it on You Tube and found the Crazy sock lady and nimble needles Norman. I’ve always wanted to make socks eventually found you at the end of January. I’ve learned so much in the last 6 weeks, even though I’ve been knitting and crocheting for 50+ years. I love your show and can’t wait for the shawl mal. I subscribed to your other channel but haven’t watched any videos yet. I hope to attempt colorwork soon. Thank you for sharing your passion!

    I got a little muddled between my knitting needles and had to do some funky knitting to get them apart and in the right place again but it’s soooo much quicker for me than magic loop! Win! I did have an issue joining up and it did ladder. That was a problem but it seems to be coming together now if I keep it tight at the start of the new round

    Thanks - very well organized, and the tip at the end is awesome! I've been using magic loop for years, leaving my fairly good fixed circ inventory to languish. But sometimes I didn't have the right needle size - now I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to check out the 2 circ method!

    I always use two circular’s for socks. So easy🥰

      This is a revalation for me and I'm so excited to try it because the small "circumference" for socks is driving me mad but clearly i can do it because I already have one made sock lol

      Try 2 at a time socks on 2 circulars. Awesome! and both socks are completed simultaneously. It's a game-changer!!!
      Many great books and videos on this.

    This is exactly how i work a toe when knitting socks. I use different colour needles so i definitely see which matches which. My needles are same size but different colours! Kitchener stitch off the 2 circular needles and all done 🧦

    Where is the super like button. Can't wait to try this. Now I don't have to worry that I don't have small enough needles. I'm a fairly new knitter, so would also like to see how you cast this on. Or if anyone reading this can tell me.

    I guess my question is why not just use one larger circular needle? Seems like more work to do it this way, unless you are working on something very small like socks.

    just found out about this, because I can't do the magic loop without gigantic ladders! But I don't get how you cast-off? How do you do decreases? i'm sorry it might sound dumb, but I'm having a hard time figuring it out...

    do you have advice on the best way to pick up underarm stitches using this method?

    • @KnittyNatty
      @KnittyNatty  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like top put half the underarm stitches on one needle along with half the sleeve up to the shoulder seam. The other half of sleeve and underarm go on the second needle. This way the sleeve is divided in half from shoulder seam to the middle of the underarm.
      You can pick up the stitches however is most comfortable and then rearrange them this way for easy knitting. I hope this helps!

    I got totally lost at the end. If you are using the 2 needles as demo'd, and then have 2 different sized needles.......how can you always be knitting with the desired needle size?

    • @cheryldueck318
      @cheryldueck318 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I know this comment is several months old, and I’m not sure if I can explain it any better, but if you are knitting each side as separate loops (which is how this works), then each time you work a row, your right handle tip stay in your right hand. So, if you have a US 5 tip on your RH needle, and a US 4 tips on your LH needle, then the US 5 will stay in your right hand, work across the row, then come back to the start, staying in your right hand.
      Hopefully this is helpful?!

      Thanks for trying to straighten me out, but I'm still confused. Luckily I have 2 needles of the same size and don't have to worry about it. Happy Knitting to you!@@cheryldueck318

    • @loupgarou95
      @loupgarou95 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It only works if you have interchangeables. You can mix and match the tips. So instead of one cord with only size 4 tips and one cord with only size 5 tips, you instead are able to have one size 4 tip and one size 5 tip on both needles. And then you just make sure that the correct size you need is on the right hand needle/working needle.

    Where is the tutorial on how you got your stitches on the needles

    • @annettebates61
      @annettebates61 ปีที่แล้ว

      I find my join is neater if I start mine on a short circular to join and knit a few rounds then knit half of the stitches on the first longer needle set and the next half on the second set. More talented knitters can, I'm sure, cast on the two sets like when using DPNs, but that's not me....yet.
