Why train to keep your hands on your hips when you're within such short range? Doesn't look very practical in a real fight when your opponent doesn't know the rules about no punches to the face...
It's mostly just Shotokan mixed with some Judo foot sweeps. Since many Japanese Karateka also know Judo, I personally don't think it's anything too special.

+sassuki Something also wrong with the path of his tsuki especially the right. His elbows tend to stick out during the punch. Not sure how much power in that. Generally yes he is stiff and seems he can't kick much.
