This movie is more than horror genre, but the reality of that life is horrifying. I'm so thankful for everyone involved in this movie's production and telling this story from different points of view. I cried and cried throughout this movie - i.e, her brother's story and the ghost's quote about being " ..a woman just like you. We are all sisters." This movie deserves an Oscar. It's an Extraordinary Masterpiece. May God continue to bless this movie's production Team & Alter, and wonderful work and quality.
The crowd seems a bit mixed on this one, but I, for one, loved everything about it! Very deep. Very powerful. And it touches on many subjects. I wouldn't say it scared me so much as touched me.

Jennifer Hurd I’ve always found men’s camaraderie and loyalty to each other fascinating compared to how groups of women treat each other. I think that the reality housewives shows have a amazing platform to show women empowering women and yet they do just the opposite. Backstabbing, rumors, making fun of business ventures, public slams on Instagram & Twitter. Physical fights. It’s horrible...(and yes I watch all of it 😂) it just makes me stop and ponder the good they could do for all women but chose not to. I’m sorry about your sisters.

That part where she mourned over the Major stubbornness to remember sisterhood and her own sins. That was really cool. A revenge story about bad blood among women who are victims. Why would you turn on your fellow slaves when you could stand together for each other? Or at least, that's how I interpreted The Bride's character. She's no all knowing goddess. She's the spirit of a woman betrayed and angry at how life is for women.

This video brings tears to my eyes... thinking of all the women who still have to suffer so much injustice based on a system that labels them as property and nothing more. But even sadder is when we as women turn on one another and defend those injustices... I know it's cause we've been brainwashed to believe these things are okay because they've been occurring for centuries, but it's so heartbreaking. I love my fellow women and I hope that a day will come when we truly support one another, rather than see each other as competition or unworthy of love that isn't hateful.

Such an engaging and well presented story line. With minimal explanation, we understand the background and the motives. At the same time, what beautiful location shots and how refreshing to see a new creature of horror. Well done, Alter!
this is so cool seeing middle-eastern characters portrayed as flawed people rather than stereotypes and caricatures. even though the circumstances may be unique to them, the characters are quite relatable. funny how portraying the human side of people makes them less "foreign". it's commendable that the kind of pain the story draws from is something that lingers after the story is over. i'd say this is one of the few films in alter that's devoid of cheap thrills. no hate towards the other shorts on the channel, but this one is seriously that good.
Powerful message : we are none of us innocent . However much we within the struggle of our own circumstances may suffer indignities upon our person or life, when we stand by, do nothing and accept injustices , we are complicit. The Bride in this story is a vengeful yet sorrowful equalizer , she brings the reminder that we are all connected sisters. Your pain is my pain.
Among genres, horror comes in a position where it is very hard to create a real fear.....but the way ALTER creates horror and also deep meaning messages is an legendary work......my fav channel

Very powerful film. I recently heard a report that hard line women in the Syrian refugee camps have started punishing and murdering other women who are too western in the eyes of Isis and far right wing Islamists. If true, that is one of the most deeply heart shattering stories I’ve ever come across. Look to the brutality they and their children face every day. If the more wealthy countries do nothing to alleviate the suffering in these camps, and/or expedite those who would look to another country to safely continue their families, if we continue to count the innocent as criminals, and refuse them shelter and sanctuary, then I can’t think of a better way to entrench hatred of the West and those who cooperate with Western governments for generations to come.

Not sure where the disconnect for people is...they must be a little slow. This film is a great production...acting was great and all facets. It has a deeper meaning for those who like messages in their movies and then more importantly its can also be just a plain old "ghost seeking revenge on those who wrong her" movie. Whats there to be explained folks. Bravo to the folks who made it and Alter for sharing it.
I don't understand that at religion or background of belief but that was the most believable and realistic of stories that have been for a long while of a different culture. Very well done and great job from everyone involved. I loved it

In terms of features and contrary to what is believed, not all Arab women in the Fertile Crescent and North Africa wear the burqa or the niqab, and not all residents of the Middle East and North Africa apply Islam literally as some imagine (its just fun facts)) iknow its just a short movie but its impact are serious most of people thinks wrong ، Sulaymaniyah in Iraqi Kurdistan has a human development rate similar to the human development rate in Beirut، Of course, the Arabic dialect of the movie is not real, the dialect of northern Iraq is completely different from the movie here.

War births enormous horrors, felt & seen in reality, and far beyond into realms of spirit & soul not fully understood by humanity. "The Bride" represents a deep, terrifying & thought-provoking warning of evils created by war. Great work here on every level.
