Green Day is neither emo or punk, they are just a kick ass rock band. Stop latching onto the visual of what punk rock is supposed to be and realize that it's just rock music.
I agree. I've seen them twice since they released 21st Century Breakdown and I thought for sure they'd play it for us since we live in Detroit... The crowd would have gone wild!
@IamChris4LifeAlso They played it also at Kesselhaus Berlin on May 7th. You can find the concert on youtube, splitted into parts. Don´t know which part contains peacemaker, but I know they played it there.
this song is incredibly tiring to play on drums...if they played this song at every concert tre wouldn't have the energy to play the rest of the show...or the rest of the song...
@TheJohnny990 Im a GUY and I like all the songs, even Last Night on Earth. Although people call Dookie their sellout album, I think its really 21 Century Breakdown, because that music was composed by someone else.
This album isn't emo,it's more into feelings and sensations and a more lyrically deep album.This album isn't as good as AI,but Green Day was working with another producer instead of Rob Cavallo and they had more pressure because it was very very hard to reach American Idiot's quality.Anyway now it seems like they took another path more like Nimrod or Warning.
this is my favorite song off 21st Century Breakdown, I wish they had played it live more.
thecerp1ntaxt same here
Macaroni and Door Hinges also same
Also here

romeokid69 its punk
romeokid69 exactly
@@kahvamiestestailee2082 Punk is too broad. You lose.
Song is same speed with iViva La Gloria!
But damn, How long could Tre sustain his ninja hands for 3 minutes in the hi-hat and rolling alone?
James Bret Solina Tre is the Jesus of rock drumming at least of the last 30 years, if not more. what else do you expect?
@@unired9926 we expected a mortal man.. we got a God.
Green Day is truly the best live bands in history
Pure gold
Excellent live
Hearing that high hat through almost the whole thing made me hurt, I can only imagine how Tré feels

super song :-)
Brilliant!
@mybandrocks Tre Cool never gets tired!
Call Gaza 💜✌✌
its so sad they only played this song once
They played it six times
my fav. Album is Nimrod but 21st century breakdown is good

If I had one take-away from Green Day Rock Band, it's that Tre's a fucking beast.
I feel bad for Tre during this song. A constant 16th throughout the whole song. Ouch.
Fuck, this is damn good!!
@TheScarletfruit I totally agree!
Gotta wonder how he does it. Its a tough thing to do this fast, but I'm sure its a breeze for Tre!

It's not emo, just straight rock. Go listen to 'horseshoes and handgrenades' to clear your doubts.
@Green182Gamer no it wanst it was all composed by billie

Produced by butch vig. If it's good enough for Nirvana it's good enough for green day.
@coddtu i agree but i love the whole album except last night on earth.
@TheJohnny990 Your right sorry. It was PRODUCED by someone else. Honest Mistake.
It's billie or Jason playing the acoustic guitar?
Probably Billie.
is this recorded by fan, i mean by you? It's great. :)
That's 8th? I didn't know. But yeah, still very hard.
@IAmSam2304 I know theyre different. I THOUGHT it was produced by another for a LONG time. Now Ive found the truth.REALLY sorry for that.
@coddtu EMO?! EMO?!
what's wrong with you? o__O
someone else? who?
hahahahahahahahah
if you know what i mean ;p
@coddtu
you dont know anything ;(
not the best song from the album and this was played before the album came out
They played the whole album at this show
It's not emo .__. ! wth !
It sounds like Jason White doesn't even know how to play it...
