Andy Sidaris actually won an Emmy for directing sports broadcasts. So, as bad as his movies are, there is an unexpected level of technical competence to them compared to a lot of B-movies. He knows where to put the camera, how to keep things in focus, and how to light properly.
The realization that hard ticket to Hawaii is actually part of a film saga called the triple B series! That predates the MCU and has a total of 12 movies in the same universe.
No joke, y'all. This is one of my favorite movies ever, and one of my favorite movie franchises. Cause there are at least 6 of these starring the same characters out in Hawaii.
We are finally venturing into the Skinemax territory! And it's about time cause many of those 80's/90's movies were just softcore porn movies with a plot, more than usual. And unintentionally hilarious.
Billy's laugh is so crazy and infectious . I crack up and almost suffocate in laughter every time he goes off. thank you Billy for bringing joy to the persons day :)
Over the years, I 've watched countless episodes of Double Toasted. This episode BY FAR is my all time favorite. It epitomizes the kind of B-movies that I grew up with as a kid (during the Reagan era my parents didn't care what I watched as long as i was drug free and my grades were good). Hard Ticket to Hawaii is one of those all time classic Schlock-fest (and yes, with ample breasts) that I would catch late night during the 4th or 5th grade....lol. An amazing find and props to the whole Double Toasted team for bringing this one to light for future generations. The 80s were truly a different time.
I hate to be THAT guy but the shots of the agents returning fire at the guy behind the chair where not the same shot repeated. If you look at the table next to him, you can clearly see the first glass being shot at and then next shot where we see that table the other glass gets shot at. Very similar but the glasses hint at there being 2 different shots.
When we first got cable television in the late 80’s. I would stay up late and sneak and watch this on Cinemax. It was always on. Twelve year old me was in Heaven. The snake popping out of the toilet was always fucking hilarious!😂
Seriously!? lmao 😂 7:06 Wtf!? 18:29 Well that was disturbing.. 14:21 That's a man baby 🌈 😭 10:30 So confused 😵💫👀 22:26 Lmao 😂😭 27:37 Her acting is awful 35:17 Drugs are kicking in 🥴 38:28 That's the snake!? 🐍 😭 41:19 That would have killed everyone 🤦 49:41 I've never seen hard ticket to Hawaii, But wow everyone involved in this movie are terrible. 🤦😂
Rawley (Ron Moss) was a star for Decades (25 years) on the soap opera "Bold & The Beautiful"!! Before and after, he was with the band Player ("You're The Biggest Part of Me").
yeah, a lot of people don't realize that a lot of movies and themes and ideas were produced from the 50s thru the 80s that came from the exploitation genres, most were flops in big theater numbers but had cult status with their niche audiences. if you say nothing is new today, it's because it was over saturated and run into the ground . . . also those types of movies still exist and still are made, just not distributed in this country (use to be straight to dvd now just straight to streaming and 'those sites' that you might get a virus.
Hey DT not sure if you guys have done an episode of this yet but if not please do. "Movies that I initially didn't like, but have grown to appreciate over the years"
Ron Moss would've made a comic book-faithful Bruce Wayne/Batman. A part of me wished Tim Burton had cast either him or Alec Baldwin in the title role, in his Batman movies.
I worked at wall mart as a summer job over the pandemic, one the jobs during the pandemic was to check employees temperature before they came in, on my last day I was assigned that position, since there was so much down town I deiced to watch this film on my phone while at work, as I had nothing else better to do and If I got caught they couldn't do anything
Remember being 13 and getting caught watching the follow up to this, Picasso Trigger, by my mom. Tried to play it off like I’d been assigned to do a paper on Pablo Picasso and thought it was about him. Tommy Wiseau would’ve done a better job selling that tripe.
Billy could really make this Triple Toasted. Of all the third guys who end up on panel, his common taste, his sense of humor, the energy he brings, his insights...and of course the laugh...all mesh perfectly with Korey and Martin.
You know it’s gonna be a good review when you’re not even five seconds in and already Billy‘s doing his Joker laugh, thank you Andy Sidaris for doing the lords work
Man i thought i knew a Lot about Cinema but you guys have me stomped because i've discovered even more Movies Thanks to DOUBLE TOASTED & All these Epic Movie Roasts,,,,You Guys are My Heroes 😃🤘🤘
Some Bad Movie Review recommendations: The Last Jedi Lady In The Water Yoga Hosers Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare Jack and Jill The Legend Of Hercules Wreck It Ralph 2 The Phantom Of The Opera (2004)
I disagree. The Last Jedi wasn't near that bad. Personally, I thought it was the best new Star Wars movie. Not great, still just another Star Ears movie, but still competently made. Phantom of the Opera wasn't that bad either. The rest I haven't seen so I can't comment, but Lady of the Water doesn't seem like such a bad, especially comparing it to Last Airbender and The happening.
@Lenin Dominguez I don't think it's worse than most MCU or DCEU movies. Just another blockbuster. The best part of the Last Jedi was when they actually tried NOT to be like another Star Wars movie, but the worst part is that in the end, it was another Star Wars movie. If it wasn't called Star Wars, people wouldn't have the same reaction. It's quality is almost the same as almost every beloved franchise.
@Lenin Dominguez That was messed up. The criticism for that movie was deserved, but the hate wasn't. It just was a mediocre movie and inoffensive. There are people that make more than 20 videos about how "Star wars suck now", and it's all the same. Like, one or two video was enough. It's like these people are obsessed with the Star Wars they hate more than the people who actually enjoy those Star Wars.
12:51 I hate to spoil the fun but It's not the same shot repeated twice... :D First the guy fires from behind the Jeep and the glass on the table that's on the left shatters, then the guy with the rifle fires hitting the Jeep's tire, and then the Jeep guy fires again hitting the glass on the right. The guy got up from behind the chair a little differently each time.
Talk about blowing the joke. How in the hell could Korey not show that they not only used a LAW rocket on the skater but used another one on the damn blow up doll!?! Thumbs down for bungling the single funniest, most ridiculous part of the whole damn movie. What a missed opportunity.
I was 13 years old when this movie came out. It was one of the first movies i saw on tv with this much nidity. This along with Malibu Express and Picasso Trigger were just too great.
DoubleToasted should do a BAD MOVIE review of 1990's 'NIGHT KILLER' starring Tara Buckman and Peter Hooten! It's directed by the Director of Troll 2 for god's sake it's a win! 😂🤣😂🤣
This random movie sticks in my mind to this day. My auntie had it on VHS. And till this day, I still think about the anaconda in the toilet scene. It's such a random ass movie.
Andy Sidaris actually won an Emmy for directing sports broadcasts. So, as bad as his movies are, there is an unexpected level of technical competence to them compared to a lot of B-movies. He knows where to put the camera, how to keep things in focus, and how to light properly.
Good point. You can actually see what’s happening and there’s no “day for night” shenanigans
Billy's laugh makes these bad movie reviews so enjoyable. 😂
Amen 😂
22:39 “lookin like Steve Zahn on crack” has me in tears 😂😂
Even funnier is that there’s actually a movie where Steve Zahn is on meth LMAO
Whoever did the upscaling of the film to HD deserves their flowers. The film looks great.
You are correct, I just watched it on Blu-ray and it looks good
The realization that hard ticket to Hawaii is actually part of a film saga called the triple B series! That predates the MCU and has a total of 12 movies in the same universe.
Lots of directors have done that
Years ago.
That skater dude was spinning around to try and take off like a helicopter 😭😭😭
Could you imagine going to the theater to watch a comedy movie with Billy😂
He's probably been banned from every Alamo Drafthouse in the area.
@@JCIce007 🤣🤣🤣💀 I was thinking the samething

Omg 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Billy’s laughter is the highlight of bad movie roast. My beer 🍺 to you, my good man. 😂
Korey,this isn't a B movie. It's a DD movie.

The rocket launcher blowing up the skateboard guy with a blow up doll was amazing (couldn't breathe)🤣🤣…..who the hell comes up with that...💀
Had me dead😂
The power of cocaine

They didn't have shoot Skaters blow up doll with the bazooka though 💀💀💀🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love these Bad Movie Roasts, especially whenever Billy laughs.
agreed, though Martin's laugh is also classic
We must moot for Troll 2 to be roasted soon.
@@midshipsport or Night Killer starring Tara Buckman and Peter Hooten. It's directed by the guy who directed Troll 2!
@@Climinator-op6kh ok lets check it out

No joke, y'all. This is one of my favorite movies ever, and one of my favorite movie franchises. Cause there are at least 6 of these starring the same characters out in Hawaii.
"favorite movies ever"
I take it is for a very specific reason 🍆✊ nope of it which has to do with the story or the acting.
The moment I found out this was a franchise that consisted of 12 movies i Lost my sh*t. The Triple B series predates the MCU by decades.
We are finally venturing into the Skinemax territory! And it's about time cause many of those 80's/90's movies were just softcore porn movies with a plot, more than usual. And unintentionally hilarious.
Noticed all the softcore stuff always
Had action and drama

Where else you'll see someone

@nehemiahpouncey3607 guagmire Is based off him

You know it's gonna be good when Billy can't hold himself together in the beginning. 🤣🤣🤣
Billy’s laugh is the best I can’t help busting out in laughter when I hear him laugh. Billy is the best.
There was one movie where Sedaris had Pat "Mr. Miyagi" Morita as a villain.
Eric Estrada was a villain in one of his movies too!!!

I was waiting on this one. Todays the day 🎉
Billy laughing is a source of pure joy.
Every intro should have Billy laughing btw did that lady walked up to the guy on the ground and stab him with a shuriken or a police badge medallion?🤣
the crown jewel of the sleazy b-movie genre. Its fun, has boobs, action, alot of filler and a plot you can't describe or remember. Basically perfect.
Blilly’s laughter…priceless 👌🏼 🤣 🤣🤣

This is going to be a good one! 😂
Somehow I see this director as Mr. Krabs--"I like Titties." Is the Blow-Up Doll some kind of Human Shield?
One of the dudes is Ron Moss, who played Ridge Forrester on the Bold and the Beautiful!
Oh wow, Ridge from The Bold and the Beautiful!

Oh good, Bazooka Man is Ridge from Bold and the Beautiful lol. Something about him always annoyed my mom and me!
Him and denji should have a talk

They need to release this masterpiece again but on IMAX this time.
Never heard of this movie
But the thumbnail got my attention!
Why did you not include the best shot of the film where the blow up doll got hit with the rocket launcher? Why?!
5 seconds in and im already crying. Wtf is this movie😂😂😂😂😂😂
WTF IS THAT ON THE TOP OF OL' BOY'S HEAD?!And i don't mean the KNOT!!!🤣🤣
