I love how Chris was flattered that he was called a beautiful man despite being initially mistaken for a woman.😅 To be fair though, it is a nice compliment.😅
I mean… so? They’re funny gags. Comedy serves as a way to talk truth to power… so if something is true the only way to exposed it is by making it a joke and it makes you think about the issue rather than ignore it. They’re hilarious.
@@motherwar3698 what are you talking about ? I love this show. One day when you grow up I hope you will be able to take a joke and while you’re at it learn just because you disagree with someone that doesn’t mean you know them and that you want them to die. Learn what tolerance is little girl.
It's definitely not a perfect show and has elements that haven't dated brilliantly so I love that Leslie called out the MRAs/anti-feminists for their ignorance and sexism and Leslie and Ben calling out how sexist the Pie Mary was in that episode.
@rubystein I love Parks, but as a born American citizen to immigrants, I never liked the "Tom's parents conceived him in Libya" joke. It just makes me uncomfortable because it reinforces bias that minorities aren't born in America, which leads to people looking down on us and treating us as second class citizens.
@@uncreative5766 I think you are misunderstanding the joke. The joke actually making fun of the exact stereotype you are talking about, they are making fun of politicians and people who believe that anyone who is not white must be an anchor baby, this is reinforced by the fact that Tom really was in fact conceived in America.
@@Rubystein It's aged significantly better than most other sitcoms from that time and people may disagree on certain points but some of the slightly fatphobic parts, the lines about Tom and Libya and some of Tom's kinda sexist comments are the things that come to mind for me but compared to other sitcoms, it's pretty progressive, especially regarding feminism as it calls out the misogynistic councillors and MRAs so I still really like this show.
there are some parts of parks and recs that have aged terribly, from the incessant bullying of jerry by some of his co-workers (especially tom and april - a large reason why i really hated those characters) to ron swanson essentially being groomed from birth by his first wife!
traditionally comedy always “punched up” to ridicule the oppresser/the establishment, with which i absolutely have no problem. the difference here is that the comedy is “punching down” and ridiculing the oppressed, in this case, the bullied co-worker and the s**ually groomed ex-husband! if that makes you laugh, that’s your call, but it does not make my view invalid!
it probably shouldn’t, but the audacity of the council tracking leslie’s menstrual cycle, makes me laugh every time
It's a little less funny knowing multiple state governments are doing exactly that today.
I do this very thing at my office. Need to know when to stay away from whom.
@@mediamonk100sounds like all your coworkers need to stay away from you 24/7
Donna's "mm-hmm" at 4:45 is perfect! It's so simple but elevates the scene and her character so well. Love her.
9:50 Ken's "Does it White Man?!" strikes fear into my heart.
Will never fail to make me chuckle.
Try meeting him (Jonathan Joss) in person.

"DOES IT, WHITE MAN?"
-Ken Hotate
"Did he die?" LMAO 😅
I love how Ken depending on what clip they show either says Rachael Ray or Matchbox Twenty, either is true, I just find it funny
8:27 this one gets me every time lmaoo
"it was my birth and i really wanted to do it" if I wasn't so shocked I would've lost my breath
I love how Chris takes the compliment in stride
"We must always walk behind the man" will never not make me laugh😂
How could you cut off the funniest part of the texting pseudonyms! "Aaaand Anthony Weiner"
8:30 he makes think about Pocahontas father the Disney one
The first time I watched this show I hated Jerermy Jamm but every time since then I freakin love him
I don't feel bad one bit for laughing at these "problematic" jokes.

The funniest of all jokes is when Amy Polher gets orgasam at the sight of Creepy Joe😝😝😝
0:01 this isnt questionable those are just fact
1:17 I think you meant to say this time stamp.
I’m sorry your comment about me dying got removed , it was so stunning and brave and mature. Sorry about Kamala
@chachi9945 dude literally why are you here. The show is pretty much against what you stand for. Like genuine question

I really hate April sometimes, i guess it's not as funny when it's too real
Hhhhhh, drake will sue kendrick and jerry

I prefer "jokes that are objectively funny"

Or maybe things that are meant to be comedic should just be treated as comedy. Getting offended by comedy is probably the lamest thing on the planet.
