Hey thanks so much Justin! This is the first time I ever build something with Blender from start to finish. You make things look so easy with the way you explain stuff and I am gonna be watching all the videos in the series to get some hands on practice before moving into making 3D characters.
These are great videos. Coming back to 3d after a number of years, is a daunting task. These help a lot since some of the functions have changed over time. Keep up the great work.
@@TH-camrUser000 you're an very bright individual, how can we all be like you ... Loser. I wouldn't make my child watch anything they didn't wanna watch... He was 12 at the time.of.me writing this and could.not have his own account so we watched it through mine... Pathetic excuse for a human you are.
everyone says that blender guru is the best youtuber to teach blender, but your tutorial is much to digestable for me,i am not mean guru is not good,i mean your viedeos are suit me,i trust i can master these skills follow you!thank u very much,
I used to use MAYA a LONG time ago... wanted to get back into this for work. I need to make architectural elements. Guess im starting here. Thank you for these.
So I made this cup just now, but I had a few problems. I couldn’t make it exactly like yours. Mine is a smaller version, but I was able to actually do it. I hope to one day in the future make an exact replica of what you have in the video my biggest issue I was having was I was able to add edge loops, but I could only add one and a time, and I had to keep redoing it when I moved a mouse up and down it wouldn’t allow me to make multiples at a time, so I had to make more than one edge loop That was my biggest problem I was having.
I know this is late but leaving this here for others. You don't move the mouse up and down to add edge loops, rather you use the scroll wheel on the mouse to add extra edge loops
Your the first youtuber in the history of youtube. Who just jumped directly to where u think all of us know blender. N that too u r callin it a beginners tutorial. Bravo... 👏👏 Without telling us abt the intereface directly.. i actually liked all ur precious tutorials about sketchup n rendering, ur other channels. But this one is like hell no.. n u expect people to subscribe to ur channel.
Sigh - I have an actual Blender for absolute beginners playlist on this channel. That said, you seem very angry about these free tutorials that I'm doing...
Getting ready to start learning blender. What I'm looking to model are. barns, sheds, silos, houses. Now blender is updated to 3.xx. are these tutorials gonna still be relevant enough with the new version. I've never been in blender, I've just watched a lot of tutorials so far. The models I will eventually make will be used for farming simulator.
One thing I’ve always struggled with in Blender, I’ve watched a few tutorials, is scale. With a background in architecture, I’m used to all my drafting/modeling programs to having scale, but i am having a hard time finding scale, dimensions of anything i model in Blender. :\
Well you can do it, but it's really not great for that kind of application. I wouldn't really want to model precision floor plans with Blender unless there's an add-on for it that I haven't seen
The CG Essentials see that’s what i always thought, and then one day i went down this rabbit hole on Reddit and found an architectural renderer who claimed he prefers modeling in Blender than sketchup, and it blew my mind because i couldn’t even begin to think how you would accurately design anything. Coming from AutoCAD, Rhino, Sketchup and Revit, I’m used to quickly being able to check the dimensions and distance of anything, but this seems very hard to do in Blender, let alone model things to a fraction of an inch. I just don’t understand, I can do simple massing, but none of the models have ever meant anything, they are really just formal studies
thank you for your video tutorial, i'm a newbie of blender i try to learn with your tutorial. i know you from time with your Sketchup essentials. i'm a Sketchup user. please can you make a blender lessons for sketchup users? i think that these tutorials will be very usefull for people as me, "contaminated" from sketchup. not comparing tutorial, but how can an user can find the same tool or similar in blender. example exist a tool as push and pull? or something similar to follow me tool? thank you
Interesting video idea - In the meantime, this is like the follow me tool (th-cam.com/video/31rhH3FM9-c/w-d-xo.html), and push/pull would just be extrude
@@TheCGEssentials great! you answer me soon!!! i don wannt stress you, i have found the extrude tool, but is only in one direction... is only "pull" and push ? :) i learn from your tutorial that a similar tool coming with 2.9, i'm mac user and this mean i need to upgrade 10.13... i'm wait your video. thank you for all
Hi everyone! Let me know if you have any questions about this tutorial in the comments below!

Amazing tutorial! Is that possible to make a cup with right dimensions in mm? And, how to add some extra details on cup? Some texts, other things

Just found your channel. Trying to move into blender from tinkercad. Where should I start?
I always wondered when you'd get around to "coming around" to Blender :-}
I hadn't noticed this channel of yours. You are my myth. Could you add for the future the pressed keys to the video? thanks
Trying to - the add-on won't stay enabled, so I'm having some trouble with it.
thanks

Justen are you gonna master all 3d software?? Maybe revit in the future?
Probably not Revit - I've thought about maybe some Rhino tutorials, though I'd say the 4 channels I have will probably keep me busy for a while
HHHWwwaaats up guys!
when i hollow the wine glass its all wrinkly. any solutions?
Kind of sounds like you haven't modeled it with quads?
You are super

Now I am not going to use curves
