I think the Misters mom abused him because he looks like his dad (assumed based off the note you found) so he killed his mom (the body in the attic). Then when Renyas mom was yelling at Mister he was reminded of his own mother and freaked out.
Judging by the clues and that note... the "Kidnapper" is a dude who had abusive mother until he snapped, killed her and hid her in the attic. The intro scene with the hammer is from his perspective. So he was helping protagonist and his sister, because they had similar situation. So of course he snapped when another one just like his own mom started yelling at him. He was also mentally stuck in being a child, so he wanted to play with "fellow kids" at the park.
I think the kidnapper most likely had an abusive mother which is why he was willing to go along with the sister's plan he went through a similar situation, but when the mother confronted him and pushed him, it brought back a trauma that hadn't healed and that's why he killed her probably to defend himself. I also believe that he saw his mother as that woman the moment she pushed him. Renya was most likely smiling because he always hated his mother and knew how bad she is which is why at 4:55 you can choose to say "I'm okay with just the two of us" because the boy doesn't want the mom to come back.
@@moonorange8216shouldn’t have checked the comments I mean the comments are obviously gonna be full of ppls theories and opinions so you can just watch the video finish then only start reading the comments
I think the reason why the kidnapper killed Renya and Sakiko's mother is because he went through something similar when he was younger, he's the "Sarao" mentioned in the notebook where the writer was saying she's a terrible mother. The corpse in the attic is most likely Sarao's (the kidnapper) mother that he ended up killing. Hence why Renya was smiling when his mother got killed, he's just like the kidnapper.
This game has an unexpected twist and doesn't even use the same reasoning of why the Child kidnapper kidnaps them just because for money instead in this game, Renya's sister planning all of this, and with that, Renya and his sister can get more love from their mother instead it turns out Renya's sister is plan backfires even out of expectation(Because Their mother still doesn't even care to them) The reason why Renya smiles after Sarao(The Child Kidnapper) kill Renya and his sister's mother is because in that way, She cannot hurt his sister anymore and at 36:30 this is the same hammer used by Sarao to kill his own mother.
That’s right, and I think the after credit scene explains that the body of Renya and his sister’s mother is hidden like Sarao’s mother body was also hidden a long time ago.
Yeah, I think most players think that the ending scenes were "Hints" to get the right ending. The way I see it, Sarao ended up hiding Renya and Sakiko's mom, and then the police eventually finding the bodies in the attic. I think Sakiko also became broken at the sight of her mom being killed. Really fucked up...
As a neurology and psychology student, I don't think that the brother smiling at the end on his mom's murder meant that he enjoyed it in any way. Rather he smiled for having gotten rid of a abuser who never cared about him or his sister. Different kids have different kinds of mentalities. Some would crave for their parents' love despite theor abusive behavior, while some others would simply want to get rid of them. That's why its very important for parents toblook after their kids the right way, to feed their mind correctly.
you know funny thing is my mom was the same kind (also abusive)as this mother when I was growing up and I'm her second child, my older sister probably felt the same as the girl, now I'm grown up at 22 yrs old watching this, I felt the same feeling as the younger brother when he was smiling after seeing the same pattern from what the mother was saying which her words hurt a little but mostly made me laugh (cuz of how ridiculous she thought of her two kids, she hurts them like she didn't want them at all and yet owns and claims them proudly like she does want them, almost similar using an object or an asset), it's not out of joy but a mixture of two different things mixed together, at least that's what it feels like, Idk what's it called, but this is real (I'm not from Japan but this kind of thing still exist in the real world, if u got good parents, then that's great, they'll be with u the whole way no matter what and will never hurt u this way, but that doesn't mean every single other people who is a parent in this world is the same as yours, so don't assume of others cuz u wouldn't tell and they don't show it either, just only be thankful u got the right people to love and care for u if u got the right ones), so from what you say of this as a neurology & psychology student, you are correct, me and my older sister's mentalities were damaged the same way but how we got affected and turned out, we have different mentalities (my older sister went through therapy, so no worries...hmmm....however I didn't tho, I wonder what's that like🙃)
unfortunately, child abandonment is actually quite common in japan. there is a great movie that delves into this called 'nobody knows' that is based off the sugamo child abandonment case. it's really sad, honestly...
About the question Jay asked about toxic family and love: I agree with your opinion on it. As someone coming from a toxic and dysfunctional family, its hard when your heart and your inner child wants to love and be loved by your parents and family, but for your own wellness and health in such situation, its better to realise its not necessary to love them just because you share blood. Love is originated in the heart, not the blood or the mind. And although children deserve to love and be loved by parents most, if your environment is not good_ its okay to not love them the way you see other families sharing love
I think that Renya's smile at the end was not at seeing his mother die, but seeing his abuser be killed by a stranger who cared for them. The mother is neglectful, abusive, and controlling, as seen by how she treats her kids. She chooses to neglect her kids and dump all of her responsibilities onto Sakiko, who is the only one shown feeding Renya and helping to wash his wetted bedsheets. The mother straight up leaves Renya and Sakiko, and when Sakiko disappears, trash builds up in her house and Renya is left feeding himself with only ramen cups. During his two-week "captivity", it is implied that the Mister and Sakiko take care of him. Sakiko feeds him healthy, filling meals, and they seem to not be wearing the same clothes as before. Following their freedom, their choice to go into foster care is very telling of how they view their mother. Sakiko is shown to want her mother's love, while Renya appears to be aware of how neglectful his mother is despite being so young. Truly heartbreaking.
Hey Jay! Here's my theory on what had happened. So at the start you actually play as the "mister", hiding from his abusive mom. That's who's body it is in the attic, and who jumpscares you when you find it. I'm assuming he couldn't take it anymore and snapped, killing her. And that's why he kidnapped the kids, since he understands wanting to be loved by your mother who hates you. So, when the mother confronts "Mister", berating him and shit, he's put back into that situation as a kid. Her touching him threw him over the edge, reminding him of his moms abuse and so he killed her.
“Do we have to love our family if they’re bad to us,” the simple answer is no. We live in today’s society where if your relatives are treating you badly then you can just simply cut them off b/c no one should treated lesser then. As someone whose cut off all of my mom side of the family, I can confidently say this. The crap they put me through as a child is something a child should never have to go through. I was raised with a diagnosed narcissist-sociopathic dad, & they were much worst than he was. My dad wasn’t abusive or anything like that, but he was/is someone who was diagnosed with those disorders, & he still in my life till this day b/c he isn’t such a horrible piece of dookie.
I think the kidnapper had a rough childhood himself. The diary jay found probably belonged to the mister's mother, who abused her child(the mister as a kid) because he looked like his father, who the mom must have hated for some reason. And when the kids' mother confronted the mister, i think he got flashbacks of how his own mother would treat him and thats why he killed her. And the body in the attic was probably the mister's mother, that he must have killed since he couldn't take the abuse. This is just my theory and probably what happened. The brother smiled probably because he obviously didnt like his mom since she was ignorant and rude. And she would no longer hurt the siblings. Again, just my idea
No one's posted a jump scare time stamp yet so here ya go 0:59 (Mild) Jay reacts to the ugly face 21:24 (Mild) Sus man walks in 28:03 (Average) Door opens abruptly 30:25 (???) clown appears in camera 35:35 (Major) Face appears inside closet 39:16 (Mild) Body on the floor 39:40 Mister appears behind Renya 40:59 Got Caught 42:29 Got Caught 2 43:48 Random leg popped out 44:04 (Major) Lady pops up 45:52 Got Caught 3 57:15 Weird Ahh grin
Chilla's Art always make games which has deep story inside them. For this, Renya always used to get scolded by his mom. but his sister always took care of him. so he preferred his sister more than his mom. but his sis had a soft spot for their mom. but when their mom leaves them, she becomes desperate to bring her back. and then here comes the mister. the mister had a very abusive childhood. his mom used to beat him cz he looked like his dad (from the note). so, one day he couldn't endure the beating anymore and killed his own mom. you'll also see him drunk and passed out which also shows how he is not in a good mental condition. I guess he relates with the Sister as both of their moms didn't like them. which is why he decided to help her with this "kidnap". in the attic, the ghost comes out just to represent that there's is a d3ad body which has been here for ages. Renya imagines the clown and his sis being kidnapped by the clown bcz he never thought a man would kidnap his sister. in his mind, the clown might have kidnapped his sister which is why she didn't come home for days. it was him trying to connect his sister's vanishing with what his school said. and then in the end, while the sister and Renya's mom was scolding the mister, it reminded the mister of how his own mom used to scold him. so he couldn't control and k1lled her too. Renya smiled cz from the get-go, he didn't like his mom and he knew they were better off without her. so the story of this game basically was about - what a mother's negligence can do to a child.
So i looked into it, and apparently "Mister" is Sarao, the child you play as in the beginning. In the start when everything goes dark, Sarao snapped and killed his mother, explaining why the room and hammer were bloody, and also the body in the attic. He killed the Renya's Mom with his sickle because she reminded him of his own mother. He then runs away crying because of all the memories flooding back.
Despite going through abuse, many people still feel love toward people who hurt them. It’s not something that happens all the time but I’ve heard a few people say that despite everything, they still love them. You aren’t obligated to love someone, especially if they abused you no matter if they’re your parent or not.
i think to get the true ending, the jumpscare must be triggered before escape to kohime's house. that's why the game showing the attic in 57:28, just like that another chilla's art game about girls going to karaoke at night hinting for other endings.
Sakiko just wanted her mom back cuz she missed her and felt the pressure all over her after she left, but for Renya he’s just like the kidnapper- hated his mom because she’s abusing them and never really cared for them. And for the kidnapper he probably killed his mom(the body in the attic) and was traumatized when Ranya’s mom yelled at him, kind of remembered his past and nervously killed their mother. It’s more of a sad story than a horror one.
I'm genuinely happy that you talk about toxic families. I'm an adult but knowing that you have a younger audience and touch on that with care, I think it's an important discussion that some may need. Thank you for that
the mister (kidnapper) is acctually nice, hes just been through things like the children, what a good thought thru game, its creepy people think of scenarios like these but its a good game over all
My personal thoughts: I believe that the “mister” had some sort of trauma when he was a child, the first scene that were played in the beginning was probably a hint of his life and decided to end his mother.(and i agree that the body in the attics belongs to his mother) that’s why when our character’s mom yelled at him, it seems like it triggers him, and end her the same way as he did to his mother using the hammer. I believe during the park scene, maybe he wants to play hide and seek with the kids because he wanna “relive” the childhood he doesn’t have. And as for our character smiling in the end, I just believe he was twisted to begin with. Knowing that our mother doesn’t slightly care about both of them. He’s probably doesn’t like her as he shows less care about his mother than the sister does. But hey, that’s a game theory
i also met a similar guy like him when i was a kid. kids at the playground would warn us about this "creepy guy", he was indeed creepy but as i grew i realized the "creepy guy" was just someone with special needs.
I haven’t been enjoying my life lately. But ppl say that u gotta find joy in every little things in ur life. And so i can gladly say that ur contents are the little things that brings me joy. Thanks for ur hardwork, Jay. It means a lot
From what I know about Japanese honorifics, when Renya was looking for his sister, he was probably saying Onee-chan (oh-nay-chan, nee-chan?), which means “older sister”. Onii-chan means “older brother.”
What i make out of the game was that the scene in the beginning of the game was sarao aka the creepy guy or mister who also had a negletful mother so he killed her which was the body in the attic and there was the note where it explains it. And i think the reason the brother was nonchalant abt his mother leaving Throughout the game was because he was unloved and not taken care of and the only person taking care of him was his sister so he wanted to protect her the most but his sister seemed way too attached to the mom. her toxic behavior and the environment they were living in had impact on the kids creating distrubing Physchological issues it shows clear signs when the brother says that he would want someone weird to show up so it would be "fun". And the fact that the sister wanted to be loved so badly that she put herself in danger. and when their mother died the brother was just relived to see his manipulative mother die and finally save them free from the abuse. And yeah the game did feel very fast paced but Personally i really liked how twisted it turned out to be.
5:17 To Jay's question, I once read a really manga about this woman who went thru the most f'd up life in and out of her home. When she was explaining to her "normal life" husband why she didn't want to see her family, she said something along the lines of... "You don't love your family because you're blood related. You love them because they're good people." Sht was so simple but it really changed my view on family.
For anyone that is confused here's the explanation The first clip that was shown was Sarao's memory (the kidnapper) where he grabbed the hammer and kill his mother (thats why the house is so bloody, plus there was a body in the attic)his mother might be abusive and strict thats why Sarao never really get to play with the kids thats why Sarao was watching and ask the kids to play hide and seek with him. This game is based off in a real life story where the mother gave money then left her 5 kids and abandoned them. 2 died because of malnourishment and idk what happened to the other 3 but i remember 1 of them was being bullied? First ending was all the same, you go to the police the kidnapper gets arrested and their mother comes to show the police that "she cares" then abandons them again. Second was where the mother died. the reason why he was so quite while the mother was talking was because he remembers her mother which traumatized him which led to killing her off and the reason why Kenya was smiling was because 1. Her mother died because he hates her. 2. Was because the kidnapper can no longer get in contact with them since he was arrested for murder. 3. He and his sister can live into a foster home where they can be treated better than the mother and kidnapper. So i would say that the ending where the mother died was the best. And the fact that this was based off a real story was creepy and saddening.
A child's mind may be affected for what they see, they reflect actions made by their own guardian so it's most likely to have affected their future. It's very sad because a child that is so young gets to see things that aren't good for them, they should be showered with love and attention.
Love long videos from jay Also so true about the loving family part; imo, if they hurt you and possibly others, do not feel obligated to love them or care, dont waste your energy on ppl who hurt you, even if others oull the "theyre your blood" "shes your mother" etc, bc you wouldnt call a friend a friend if they hurt you for a while
5:19 To answer your question, I think everyone is valid to their feelings when it comes to loving a parent. Love is shown in different ways and impacts a lot of people but when it comes to a parent and their child they should love one another because they are family and there is a bond that cannot be broken. The sisters response to the question shows how even though their mother has abandoned them she still loves her because that’s her mother and sometimes all we need as children are our parents even when they aren’t the nicest but saying this that the bond can be broken if said parent does not change and etc.
So, I kinda get it The start of the game shows 'The Mister' getting verbally abused by his own mother. So the hammer you found at 36:30 was the same hammer Sarao (kidnapper) used to eliminate his own mother. The person in the attic was his mom. Like I saw in another comment, The Mister probably had flashbacks of his own mom when Renya's mother got angry at him. When the Mister asks the kids if he could play with them, it was to relive his childhood that he never had, his mother was too harsh on him. I also have a theory that the Clown was just a hallucination/nightmare from how Renya got anxious about his sister, when the other kids told him about the clown, he thought the kidnapper could be a clown (but it wasn't).
you don’t need to love anyone if they harm you in any way, even if they’re family/blood. blood doesn’t make you family, if they respect and love you in a good way and you think of them as family, then they’re family.
answering your question about loving someone jay, yes you can love someone even if they do not treat you the best, you can love someone but distance yourself from them so the relationship does not become stressful or toxic
In response to the family question: I believe that family is what you make it and not by blood. My parents failed me, and it got to the point where I don't talk to my mothers side of the family. It's been a couple of months since I cut contact, and honestly, it's one of the best things I've ever done for myself. So no, you don't have to love your family or your parents if they're hurting you. Yes, it might hurt to know you won't have that bond, but sometimes it's for the better, and God will always take care of us!
the beginning of the game - was a flashback where the child kidnapped (sararo) is hiding from his mother because she most likely abused him. it pans to the hammer because he killed his mom, hence the body in the attic. trauma probably got to him, as soon as the kid’s mother touched him, he snapped and instinct was to swing.
5:15 Do we have to love our family if they're bad to us? You can 'love' someone but have to walk away. If you're being abused, neglected, and/or your boundaries are not being respected even when you've tried many times.. It's time to walk away for yourself and for them/your future family. It's especially rough if you're from a culture where it's abnormal to leave your parents but you didn't ask to be brought to this world and you owe them absolutely nothing. They are the ones who have/had the responsibility to raise the life they willingly brought forth. I hope, if you're reading this and going through abuse in any form, that you can get out ASAP. I wish you will be able to safely walk away and be free.
My mom and dad came from families with generational traumas and bad parenting, that I just found out a year ago. I thought it was normal in a household since I kept seeing, since I was a child, of how my grandparents always argued with their children, my parents fought with their siblings etc. My mom once talked about how her mother forgot about her and prioritized other siblings. My mom never registered as legal citizen that she had to create a passport from different country for herself, thanks to my grandma. No one in the family has ever been to therapy which explained it a lot. Though my parents is bad at parenting, I know they still love their children so I decided to just forgive them for every time they've wronged me in the past. I used to hate them every single cells of my body for neglecting me and my needs. After learning about these trauma stuff, I realized they still have unresolved trauma. Still need a lot to do, but I'm trying my best to break that generational trauma through my siblings. Do I love them? I'm trying. Do I still hate them? A little because they refused to learn what's wrong with them.
I really like that Chillas Art's every horror games have different concept. We could really see improvements too over time especially characters development.
5:31 to answer your question jay, the answer is no. but it’s easier to think about that idea rather than actually trying to go about it. it comes from a place of not being heard or seen, nobody who makes that choice wants to-but they understand they have to. when i get means to, i plan on going no contact with my family, as i know an apology will never come. though im just a stranger, it makes me happy to know that someone i look up to has lived a happy enough life to ask that question. you’re a great father and i’m sure you’ll have a family to be proud of.

When Jay asked about should we still love our family if they're toxic to us, depends. I live in a toxic family right now with a very controlling and toxic mom and trying to get out. I wish I could genuinely love her and I always try to see her good side but it always ends up with her being manipulative and toxic towards me. She definitely doesn't care about my happiness. Thanks Jay for bringing it up because not every family is happy and all healthy just like this game. Love ya Jay
0:58 LMFAO JAYS FACE 💀💀😭 2:40 Sister is a real one. 11:38 PLEASEE 12:46 Like rip a fart. 15:49 I remember I used to walk to school or from school like this. Mostly solo but sometimes my friends would come over to accompany me because I’d be the only one home most of the time. 16:09 Yeah. Obaa san. And she just gave him the death stare. 18:11 Bros committed 💀💀 19:01 they’re smart with it. 27:37 Bros doing the wrong stroke orders 😭 but I mean it works. 40:58 master of stealth huh? 56:24 I feel kinda bad for him. Him and the children. His mother abused him. Because he was basically like taking care of the children and letting them do whatever they wanted and following their orders. But the mom just decides to come back when the kids give her an “inconvenience” and point him as the bad guy. Any route isn’t in his favor. Everyone’s at fault kinda except probably the main character Renya maybe. But that smile at the end kinda made me SUS. So idk. I’m just rambling.
Everyone is saying this but I think Mister's mom abused him some way because in the letter it says he looked like his dad and the body in the attic is most likely Mister's mom's body. And when the person we play as mom was yelling I assume he thought it was his mom and killed her. Honestly the plot twist when Renya smiled at the end I was legit shocked. Like I understand his mom was neglected him and making Sakiko take care of Renya is honestly wrong. Even if you didn't plan to have kids you should take care of them because after all they are your kids.
i think for the cat jumpscare, it might be just Renya's dreams, including the "creepy clown" rumors he heard at schools and he probably tho that clown kidnapped his sister. and what i think after the whole game is the mister probably had mommy issues too? according to the note Jay read at 43:10 . So probably got traumas from his mom abusing him. 56:17 you see how he's looking down like a little kid getting scold. he does not seem wanting to respond back with any actions or words but until 56:46 when the mother decided push him, bro got frustrated and yea Renya perhaps smiling coz his mother died, which is good news for him basically since he didnt like her and seeing his sister getting yell for everything and leaving them. this is all just what i think im not an expert at lores i just wanted to share my thoughts dont hate me for being wrong:(
SPOILERS, this comment will contain spoilers! Please finish the video if you do not want to be spoiled! This is a very long comment- Jay said this game was confusing, however I felt like I got a jest of it. This is just my theory, please take this with a grain of salt! The cutscene in the beginning, shows Sarao, who later becomes Mister the Kidnapper. In that cutscene, he was shivering and scared of someone, his own mother. Later, Jay finds a memopad of the mother apologizing for abusing her child. It seems as if the mother regularly abuses Sarao, thus Sarao killed his own mother in the cutscene. I would also like to mention, the body in the attic, it has the be the mother's. Skipping forward in the timeline, we become Renya, a middle school boy. Now the story we got of Renya is that his mother was neglecting him and his sister. As you seen in the video, the mother finds her kids annoying and a waste of time. She leaves with a luggage and never comes back til the end. Renya's sister seems to be very obsessed with getting her mother's attention, which is normal as a curious child but in my vision, Renya's sister was overly obsessive. She was willing to be kidnapped and kidnap Renya for the sake of the mother coming back to "love" her again. Renya's sister seems to be blind to the mother openly insulting them. The day that the sister "went missing", I'm just assuming here, but I get the feeling that she left on purpose to look for either her mother or a kidnapper. Renya's sister doesn't see Renya as an equal in my eyes. She may of helped Renya with laundry and cooked for him but her tone of voice when they were eating curry with rice, her mind was set on only pleasing the mother who left them to begin with. After the disappearance of Renya's sister, Renya was in school. Now with his friends, they played hide n seek in a park that seems like no one cared for with HOW LONG THOSE GRASS WERE- anyways, the first interaction between Renya and Sarao aka Mister Kidnapper. The mister asks to play hide n seek with them. Now you can take this part with two paths: One, he is there for Renya in request of the sister. Two, he actually wants to play hide n seek. Now keep in mind, the cutscene in the beginning seemed like it happened when Sarao was much younger, the height Sarao in that cutscene, was as short as Renya, who is a middle schooler. The memopad mentioned one part that stood out to me. " How long am I going to keep him in that room?". This would ultimately mean that Sarao was physically abused and was locked away from the world. Sarao asking to play hide n seek could be his inner child asking to play as he had to lock that part of him at such a young age. Fast forward again, Renya has to steal food. Mister kidnapper enters and simply just stares at the player. This makes path one more likely but I beg to differ that path two can still exist. Give or take, if a young child was closed off from the world and was abused by their own mother to the point of them killing their mother, wouldn't you think you would have some sort of mental problem? That's what happened in the last ending that Jay got. Renya's mother yelling at Mister kidnapper, who was Sarao, who was used to physical abuse. Not only has Renya's mother snapped Sarao, the continuous yelling that Renya's mother did triggered Sarao. As if he was reminded of his own mother who would consistently yell at him. Did that click in your head? Yes? That ending was like watching the first cutscene. A mother yelling, Sarao in pain, a weapon in head. What happened at the end of that cutscene? He killed his mother. Now what happened in the final ending? He killed Renya's mother. Now now, the very last scene of the ending is even more confusing. Here we find the camera panning up to Renya's face... who was smiling? In front of him was his very own mother, a corpse and his sister crying. Why would Renya smile? This is my theory: Renya calculated this all from the moment he saw the corpse in the attic or perhaps the very moment he saw kidnapper. If you remember what everyone kept talking about after school? A clown. The very same clown that kidnapped Renya in his house. The school kids talked about the clown, as if the recent events that happened in the area was about a clown. What sealed the deal for Renya was def the blood and corpse, if Mister kidnapper, the clown, has killed before, why wouldn't he do it again. But what does he gain from this? His sister. Now now, I know that sounds wrong but if Sarao does have a mental condition, why wouldn't Renya too? Renya who was neglected by his mother, only has his sister. He could potentially have a mental condition or perhaps he came a.... sis-con? Now that sounds very weird, but it does happen. Renya's sister who was obsessed for her mother's love, Renya who was obsessed for his sister's attention. It's almost as if, this family was doomed from the very beginning. With the mother out of the picture, he could have the sister's attention/love for himself. Which isn't so weird knowing Japan's relationship choices in Anime-- Okay that sis-con part can be exchanged to just Renya being protective, which he has the right to do so. Though getting his own mother killed and smiling, tells me otherwise. I did not intend this comment to be so long, I apologize. Again, please take this with a grain of salt.
I feel like he wasn't really smiling because he was happy he was gonna get his sister's attention, but for me, it's like a cycle. I feel like he's smiling more because now that his mom is gone she won't harm them any more because she's gone for good now, I think that's mostly the reason why he was smiling at the end, cause As I said before it's like a cycle, we know that the Mister was abused and he killed his mom and some people feel like a sort of relief when the person who has harmed them their entire life has passed away because they're gone for good, they're never gonna hurt them again. And so I feel like at the very end for him. It was like, "Wow, like.. I'm finally free, my sister's finally free. We're never gonna be hurt by her again."
I know from experience of when your family wants to see you fail even when you have been good in life you don’t have to let yourself be hurt by the ones who are supposed to to love you from my experience jay🤞🏼just move on in life and keep succeeding
Regarding Jay's question, my opinion is that even if your parents don't like or respect you, you should still respect and honor them. After all, they gave you life, and you can never give it back. You don't have to love them unconditionally, but showing respect and honor is important. That is what the fourth commandment is all about.
5:40 loving family only because youre supposed to even if theyre bad can set you up for bad relationships in the future. it is good to love the people that treat you well and also love you, but i dont think forcing yourself to love people (especially if theyre bad to you) is a good thing. it sucks that people are so hellbent on pushing the "they're family youre supposed to love them" when you say that they treat you bad too, because uhm.. girl no!
ok i so i know what happened (at least i do). so in the beginning, a kid kills an old lady with a hammer right? ( 0:53 ) that’s his mother. and when you read the memopad ( 43:15 ) you find out the mister IS sarao and in the beginning cutscene that’s sarao and his mother. the reason why his mother abused him was because of her husband (assuming from the note she left) and the corpse in the attic ( 44:11 ) is sarao’s mother. when renya and sakiko’s mother visit sarao ( 56:09 ) she was yelling at him and she reminded sarao of his mother (which triggered his ptsd) and you can see he’s holding a hammer which he also killed his mother with so he killed renya and sakiko’s mother with it. renya is smiling at the end because when sakiko says “you were always afraid of mom” ( 54:59 ) he’s glad the person he was afraid of was killed. + when sarao is looking at renya, kohime, masahiro and keiji at the park and their way to the park ( 17:51 ) & ( 15:47 ) its so he can kidnap renya just like sakiko asked.
Chilla's games are so good and Jay makes them even better. I was just searching for another Chilla's game on this channel and this video got posted a few minutes after!
5:28 I think loving your family and liking your family is different. Like, loving them because they're your family but then not liking them because they're toxic or mean yk
As always, even when horror is real in Chilla's Art, the lack of fucks that protagonists give are definitely not. "Oh, my sister randomly disappeared? Better just chill for a few days, not even going to call the cops".
he probably didnt have a phone or have the ability to call anyone. Plus, our character is a kid, he probably panicked and told himself that his sister would come back, so he basically manipulated himself into that. BUT IDK SO DONT ATTACK ME IF IM WRONG. But true if they were an adult with common sense.
The protagonist is a kid who doesn't even know why people kidnap others, he probably doesn't know he can call the police or even know how to ask for help.
5:19 my opinion on this is no, if your family is not supporting you or others or being abusive in any way you have every right not to love them! However, be mindful that everyone is going through there own problems, it’s no excuse for abuse, but everyone has their own issues. Anyways, just because your dad yells at you is not a reason to instantly hate them all, sure, you can be mad at him, but that love will come back. If your family is dysfunctional then you can have a substitute family (a group of people who are your family figures) and love them, remember that chosen family is still(and always will be) family
I don't agree with Jay's opinion about the new Chilla's Art game. I felt that they had up their storytelling and building situation into something that could have happened to any of us. For me, the part that felt most real the way Mister (Sarao) got triggered by the mother's shouting which retraumatizes him as how his mother used to treat him. As like an impulse to shut off the "pain", he tries to kill her just as he kills his mother, probably by accident. As someone who's abused myself, It's irritating when I hear someone shouting or talking down at someone else. And sadly to admit that I have violently and forcefully try to stop whatever that cause the pain.
I am thinking that the person locked in a room in the intro is the man here 19:06 and his mom is the person got inside the room, and he acts like a kid joining other kids because he never had childhood idk
@@bbqq013 yeah and when he saw the mom of two child, scolding him, i think he had a flashback that's why after he killed the mom, he panicked and ran away
I think what happened what that “Mister” is Sarao from the note in the house and the opening scene. He was abused by his mother to his breaking point and killed her (that’s who was in the attic). He felt bad for the kids so he agreed to the sister’s plan. At the end I think he was getting PTSD from the mom yelling at him that he lashed out and killed her.
5:23 You are not obligated to love a family who makes you feel pain. Family is meant to love you unconditionally. Family is meant to have your back and support you no matter what. Love is not conditional, negotiable, or earned, it should be the standard. Just because you are related to a person does not make them your family. Your family can be your friends, your in-laws, or anyone who brings you joy and makes your days better. I cut ties with my extended family years ago and even though it still brings back painful memories for me, I'm so much better off without them.
I think the Misters mom abused him because he looks like his dad (assumed based off the note you found) so he killed his mom (the body in the attic). Then when Renyas mom was yelling at Mister he was reminded of his own mother and freaked out.
Makes sense, I had a similar idea.
I had the same idea as well!
I had the exact idea! Yep that's probably it
Yeah. The part at the beginning with the hammer is you playing as the Mister when he kills his mom.
I had the same idea too!
This makes so much sense omg
oh wait you ate that
I think he played with them to catch renya when he's hiding alone, makes more sense to me at least

The reason why Renya smiles after Sarao(The Child Kidnapper) kill Renya and his sister's mother is because in that way, She cannot hurt his sister anymore and at 36:30 this is the same hammer used by Sarao to kill his own mother.
Thats fucked up.

@@catoo100 yep
Wow... these parents don't even bother lending their children to grandparents???
another one is that 'Into the womb' it's the case in Osaka.
That's depressing....

That makes a bunch of sense
I didn't expect to have sympathy for the "kidnapper". It's a bit of a flawed game, but the story is interesting.
Out of all the explanations, I think I understood yours the most.
I love the innocence displayed bc you can tell they truly are kids. Like the innocent questions pertaining to what kidnapping is
Despite going through abuse, many people still feel love toward people who hurt them.

Thank you for that
the mister (kidnapper) is acctually nice, hes just been through things like the children, what a good thought thru game, its creepy people think of scenarios like these but its a good game over all
Bro always puts his heart and soul into the character voices 💀
My personal thoughts:
I believe that the “mister” had some sort of trauma when he was a child, the first scene that were played in the beginning was probably a hint of his life and decided to end his mother.(and i agree that the body in the attics belongs to his mother) that’s why when our character’s mom yelled at him, it seems like it triggers him, and end her the same way as he did to his mother using the hammer.
Kohime's mother should probably have reported the kids' mother to the police instead of letting her take them.
It makes me happy with Jay giving all this insight to parenthood. It makes me think about how much he must love his son.

You love them because they're good people."
Sht was so simple but it really changed my view on family.
I'm going through a hard time in my life, but you make me smile every time I watch your videos, thank you Jay ❤
Like I told another person, Ull get better, I promise. So many people supporting and rooting for you. You are lovable
For anyone that is confused here's the explanation
The first clip that was shown was Sarao's memory (the kidnapper) where he grabbed the hammer and kill his mother (thats why the house is so bloody, plus there was a body in the attic)his mother might be abusive and strict thats why Sarao never really get to play with the kids thats why Sarao was watching and ask the kids to play hide and seek with him.
Love long videos from jay
Also so true about the loving family part; imo, if they hurt you and possibly others, do not feel obligated to love them or care, dont waste your energy on ppl who hurt you, even if others oull the "theyre your blood" "shes your mother" etc, bc you wouldnt call a friend a friend if they hurt you for a while
5:19 To answer your question, I think everyone is valid to their feelings when it comes to loving a parent.
So, I kinda get it
The start of the game shows 'The Mister' getting verbally abused by his own mother.
When i see an hour long kubz scouts video,I know it's gonna be a good one
This game is based on a true case in Tokyo, Japan back in 1988 called Sugamo child abandonment case
I love Chilla's art games cuz they always have such a deep plot and even the artstyle always fits these themes
20 seconds now you know it’s new and fresh out of the oven and good to watch pole the monsters under my bed at night when I turn my back.

“I should have not have given birth to you” kubz: GODDAMN
can we appreciate how Chilla's Art games have the most realistic stories making it more disturbing?
Idk about realistic, I don’t think it’s very common for your sister to convince some guy to kidnap the both of you so your mom will come back

I really like that Chillas Art's every horror games have different concept. We could really see improvements too over time especially characters development.
I'm having a really tough day today and just watching jay scream and play scary video games always lifts up my mood❤

Love ya Jay

11:38 PLEASEE
12:46 Like rip a fart.
15:49 I remember I used to walk to school or from school like this. Mostly solo but sometimes my friends would come over to accompany me because I’d be the only one home most of the time.

So idk. I’m just rambling.
i dont usually comment a lot but gotta appreciate jay for how much effort and time he puts into these daily videos. hope he’s doing well 🙏

Agreed!!!
I feel like instead of being creepy, the story was trying to be more sad. Like it’s mainly about child neglect
Jay deserves the world for the amount of smiles he's put on everyone's faces
Everyone is saying this but I think Mister's mom abused him some way because in the letter it says he looked like his dad and the body in the attic is most likely Mister's mom's body. And when the person we play as mom was yelling I assume he thought it was his mom and killed her. Honestly the plot twist when Renya smiled at the end I was legit shocked. Like I understand his mom was neglected him and making Sakiko take care of Renya is honestly wrong. Even if you didn't plan to have kids you should take care of them because after all they are your kids.
The sister is more like a mother then the actual mom
u already know its a good day when jay posts a video playing chillas art
i think for the cat jumpscare, it might be just Renya's dreams, including the "creepy clown" rumors he heard at schools and he probably tho that clown kidnapped his sister.
and what i think after the whole game is the mister probably had mommy issues too? according to the note Jay read at 43:10 . So probably got traumas from his mom abusing him. 56:17 you see how he's looking down like a little kid getting scold. he does not seem wanting to respond back with any actions or words but until 56:46 when the mother decided push him, bro got frustrated and yea
Renya perhaps smiling coz his mother died, which is good news for him basically since he didnt like her and seeing his sister getting yell for everything and leaving them.
this is all just what i think im not an expert at lores i just wanted to share my thoughts dont hate me for being wrong:(
SPOILERS, this comment will contain spoilers! Please finish the video if you do not want to be spoiled!
This is a very long comment-
Jay said this game was confusing, however I felt like I got a jest of it.
This is my theory:
Renya calculated this all from the moment he saw the corpse in the attic or perhaps the very moment he saw kidnapper. Which isn't so weird knowing Japan's relationship choices in Anime--
Okay that sis-con part can be exchanged to just Renya being protective, which he has the right to do so.
@@thesidecharacter9867yes and now that the mom is gone, they can go back to foster care
I know from experience of when your family wants to see you fail even when you have been good in life you don’t have to let yourself be hurt by the ones who are supposed to to love you from my experience jay🤞🏼just move on in life and keep succeeding
watching jay playing a scarry game during a thunderstorm hits different

this game is actually so sad wtf
Regarding Jay's question, my opinion is that even if your parents don't like or respect you, you should still respect and honor them. After all, they gave you life, and you can never give it back. You don't have to love them unconditionally, but showing respect and honor is important. That is what the fourth commandment is all about.
The second the mom got killed by mister I got a burger king ad
The effort Chilla’s art games in storytelling and gameplay never fails!
jay x chilla’s art= perfection
5:40 loving family only because youre supposed to even if theyre bad can set you up for bad relationships in the future. it is good to love the people that treat you well and also love you, but i dont think forcing yourself to love people (especially if theyre bad to you) is a good thing. it sucks that people are so hellbent on pushing the "they're family youre supposed to love them" when you say that they treat you bad too, because uhm.. girl no!
57:09 seeing renya smile over his mother murder is insane,i mean probably so his sister wouldn’t get hurt again by her-
ok i so i know what happened (at least i do). so in the beginning, a kid kills an old lady with a hammer right?

AAAAA I was waiting for your playthrough since I heard it came out!!
I am thinking that the person locked in a room in the intro is the man here 19:06 and his mom is the person got inside the room, and he acts like a kid joining other kids because he never had childhood idk
That’s kinda sad, I thought something similar too
I always feel bad for the creepy guy who had no childhood/abused tropes
@@bbqq013 yeah and when he saw the mom of two child, scolding him, i think he had a flashback that's why after he killed the mom, he panicked and ran away
I love when jay uploads it js brightens my day frl
I think what happened what that “Mister” is Sarao from the note in the house and the opening scene. He was abused by his mother to his breaking point and killed her (that’s who was in the attic). He felt bad for the kids so he agreed to the sister’s plan. At the end I think he was getting PTSD from the mom yelling at him that he lashed out and killed her.
This was so fun to watch I don't know why.
11:03 is the most unhinged thing I've heard Jay say in awhile
5:23 You are not obligated to love a family who makes you feel pain. Family is meant to love you unconditionally. Family is meant to have your back and support you no matter what. Love is not conditional, negotiable, or earned, it should be the standard. Just because you are related to a person does not make them your family. Your family can be your friends, your in-laws, or anyone who brings you joy and makes your days better. I cut ties with my extended family years ago and even though it still brings back painful memories for me, I'm so much better off without them.
i was so stressed watching jay's gameplay ToT
