KDog you have a very nice setup for sure and your sound is very good. Know that you now have another subscriber :-) Keep doing what you're doing and have fun doing it! Good video editing also. Take care and most respectfully, Tri-Glide Ed
How's that been working for you with the modular helmet? I have this same mic in my full face but I'm putting together my Shoei Neotec 2. Wondering if it is a hassle to raise the modular with that connected. I also usually have an external battery pack I keep in my pocket for longer trips.
Yes great point. I don't have the neotec 2 but I have another brand modular helmet. I kept the original mic and didn't put an extender cord on it, so I actually don't open my modular helmet with the camera and mic mounted because the cord isnt long enough. I unplug from the camera before opening. I think an extension cord for the mic would solve it, but just haven't wanted to mess with the extra cord
@@RideBlessed Thanks for the response. Makes sense on what you're doing and get it. I was doing the same thing until about a month ago. My cord is long enough to open the helmet but then I had a long cord pretty much in the middle of my face. I ended up taping the mic to the inside of the helmet, the part that raises up on the modular, so that the camera and the mic go up together when I raise it. I still have the same issue with my external battery pack. One guy I know taped his external battery pack to his helmet to avoid this issue. I haven't gone that far but do have a longer cord that will raise with it, or I unplug it. (Sorry for a long response.)
@@virginiatrailcameravideos ah gotcha. Yeah I have the Cardo Packtalk Bold and its mic and cord are tucked under the helmet and the mic comes out on the left side by my mouth. I ran the movo mic along the same place and it comes out right with the bigger Cardo mic. So I have the mic plug connector coming out the bottom of the helmet on the right side. When I am not using the gopro, I just tuck the cord in my vest. When I am using the gopro, I have it hang out just enough that it plugs into the gopro with no extra cord. So not perfect, but it works well enough. If I wore my modular helmet all the time it may be more of an issue but I really only where it on longer rides or when it's cold out.
Yes, I've seen some great videos that cover wireless mics like the DJI Mic 2, the Rode mics, and Movo makes wireless mics as well. Do some searches on those and I think you'll find lots of good stuff. I haven't spent money on a wireless mic until I decide what new additional camera I am going to get. Ride safe!
Hello, I hope you read my comment, I am from Mexico, I have this microphone, but the air enters me a lot and it sounds like cuts with the air, since I have a folding helmet, I hope you can help me, this channel where I make the comment is where I do my motovlogs, I HOPE YOU READ MY COMMENT. IS ANYTHING YOU RECOMMEND?
Hey thanks for posting! Sorry for late reply. You get air noise even when using a full face helmet, or are you using an open helmet? If open, you may have to look for a bigger "microphone sock" I think they call them, that fits over the end of the microphone. Mine works great in the full face. Literally today I think it may be warm enough here in Missouri in early February that I was going to go out and actually test the same mic with my open face helmet and see if it works or is loud. I'll let you know what I find

Yep there are lots of options Kevin A. Many others to check out and maybe do a review on!

Any alternative with this quality for a wireless mic?. I would prefer to place my insta360 in the front part of the motorbike instead. Thanks!
