On your dirt road to the borrow pit, dig a deep trench beside the road to give the water a place to drain to. Even top soil will stand more firm when dry. Roads should be higher than anything around them so water sheds away.
you do habe those hydraulic motors you can make a big screen for the yanmar thatll rotate and u can just get rocks lots of rocks that way and with different size holws you can get small or big ones depending on what you want
Thank you 😊 for showing Tartu a clean and beautiful 😍 city. #Tip of the day. You think about it, but I still need to write it you need a rock crusher. I hope you have a nice concert!
The digging site looks like a ice-age river close to a glacier to me. Changing layers of sand rocks and pod soil. The dark spot came to be when the vegetation could grow on a permafrost close to a river. Then some floods buried that. The exact mixture of sand/rocks/clay was determined by the stuff the glacier would deposit and how fast it was melting that time. The large lump of clay was probably a place where the water was slow for a while and fine stuff could deposit. It could have been a lake, but then more clay would have been found in my opinion an the there wouldn't have been the dark vegetation spots. It could have been part of a end moraine, but then the layers would have been much bigger, and less sorted by size, i think. But I'm not a geologist, just someone who is interested in everything. 🙂 The reason why it's not obvious a river bed anymore is that the ice in the permafrost melted and the ground settled unevenly, depending on how much water was store in it.
Another great video my dad passed away 36 years ago. You remind me so much of him he's like you he would if it's fixable he'll fix it just like what you do if it can be fixed you fix it and thanks for taking us through Estonia it was interesting it's more modern than I thought it would be thanks again for a great video say hi to everybody and enjoy your weekend
Don’t listen to the negative comments. Yes it’s a lot of pushing dirt but I think most of us like to see the whole project. Thanks for the video. Take a break and have some fun this weekend.
My explanation of the wired soft spots after back filling with sandy gravel, based on my own experience. When you put down the sandy gravel you put in on places with waterlogged soil or puddles. The weight of the material put over that, squeezed out the water underneath it and pushed it into the sand/gravel mix, effectively creating a quicksand situation. I had this situation myself when filling up a large indent in a field. The surface was dry but when walking on it you would sink down nearly to your hip. It took a month to "harden up", as the water slowly drained away or evaporated. Walking on it a week later was strange. It was like walking on a membrane with water underneath it.
You need a dedicated wash out area. Dig a hole about a meter, fill it with big rocks then smaller ones on top. Park equipment on it and when you wash them, the mud and water drain down into it and no more mud.
We like long videos and even if they show the troublesome times you go thru with your equipment, but you have to agree, considering the age and hours on your machines, they are really "Super Heroes" and so far you can fix most anything that breaks on them.
Ma'am, what a battle that has been for you. You are one tough, dude. Thank you so much for taking me through the city with you. I'm sure everybody really enjoyed that. Fantastic content as always.
I'd say that a compact track loader should be next on your list of used equipment to buy and then fix up, but looks like you already got most of the earth moving done 😂 a CTL would do everything you want it to and not get stuck like the bobcat. Gotta love wheeled machines 🙃
This channel’s contents is good because there’s a story to it and focus on the project at hand. I can’t wait for the next upload to see what success has been made. This guy gives some of the best content out there. Thanks
Hello again from Canada. Another week, another Ants Pants, I'm excited. It has been a long week at work, now it is time to kick up the feet and enjoy watching what you been up to. Let's get to it.
You could use the concrete pad you poured for the saw mill to wash your beasts or pour you a pad to do washing and repair work outside. No mud. Just hose it off when done. It could double as a patio for roasting a pig or whatever when you are not working. But you are always working, so forget that. Houston, Texas
Ok, loyal fan here. After watching all your videos and looking forward to each one, please take a vacation and take us with you. I’m sure you play just as creatively as you take on projects. It would be a hit. “Ants Pants Takes A Vacation”. My goodness, let’s go, let’s go.
lol. I have been outside in the cold all day so I got home and took a hot bath and watched some of the video. I fell asleep too. I can’t believe I feel asleep watching Ants_Pants. I’d kill to have a following like he has on my TH-cam channel. I want to be an older version of Ants_Pants. LOL.
I recall you have a swamp, ovesly you need to leave a trench for drainage, but the way to kill a swamp is pile dirt on it , the mass squeezes the water out and after a few years you get solid ground. Just a thought, cheers
It is incredible what you’ve done to the land, all graded and gentle sweeps, amazing! I have to say that Estonia looks a lot like the US, except without all the millions and millions of signs and littles strip malls everywhere AND the only fast food place I saw was Kentucky Fried Chicken! When you finally make it here someday you won’t believe how many we have, thousands and thousands everywhere. I did not see any trash either, no litter on the sides of the roads, I wish we could be that conscious of our litter! Anyway, take a break, you’ve worked your ass off and thanks for the entertainment!!!
Ole blue, little blue, joseph, all worked hard however the real treat was the ride through Estonia. A city that i never thought Iwould see that i will never see.
Have you considered building your very own rock crusher and making your own gravel. With your imagination and creativeness, you could do it. Great video.
Vu de France, vous êtes quelqu'un de très fantaisiste pour ne pas dire fantasque, mais vous êtes également très travailleur astucieux et plein de ressources. J'aime beaucoup. Seen from France, you are someone very fanciful not to say whimsical, but you are also very clever and resourceful. I like it a lot.
Despite calling the mud road a ugly mud pit, i have seen way worse. Was fun sitting in Josephs cab, wee. Tartu has lot more stuff to explore but for someone who has never seen it your video summed it up very well. The odd layers in the gravel pit are run offs that have formed a dark mud like sediment layer. The smaller stones can accumulate as river deposits to the river must have flown different or been lot bigger in the past.
Long video but always enjoy watching your projects. Thanks for the tour of Estonia. Nice to see what's going on there from across "pond" here in Syracuse, New York.
I freeking enjoy watching your videos love it funny and hard working n determination you have really like what you're doing to your homestead plus teach us not afraid of any tasks keep on going I'll continue watching
Really enjoy the long videos! Have been following you for 2 yrs now. I have also watched all your stuff from the very beginning. Enjoy your sense of self deprecation with your humour! Am already looking forward to the next one! Deon from South Africa! Ps. For a “Soviet” country Estonia looks very lovely and will be a place I w😊update like to visit. My best regards.
Poor old blue, just works and works, never complains not even with a bad clutch, and Joseph is just a straight up beast that laughs in the face of mud and tree stumps
Removing the large rocks that you get from the borrow pit. Maybe you could build a grizzly bar setup you back your trailer under and then as you load it it separates the rocks.
You have an area of stream channel deposits there, Andris. The sediment size depends on the velocity of the water in that location at the time the sediments were laid down. The faster the flow the larger the stuff. Example .- the inside of a stream bend travels slower than the outside so you can have silt/clay anesthetic to coucourse gravel.
That is alot of loads from the pit I have ever seen tons of work for one person , great job spreading it on the roads and parking area and storage pad ,well planned , very cool place you have looking good what a video thanks for bringing us on your tour
Merry Christmas Andris!! I hope both Santa's bring you everything you want! Also for providing your video presents every week you have provided alot of fun humor and very interesting content ❤

It’s almost like you would have to put the sand and rock mixture that you are using for packing the area up top on your road from the barrow pit and that would take up everything you need for your project! I hope the barrow pit has plenty of material!
If I could I’d give you 2 thumbs up in the likes Mr. Pants! I’m amazed your trailer survived moving that amount of dirt in those conditions. You cease to amaze me on how much work one man can accomplish by themselves!
Nice work! Apparently doing maintenance on your vehicles keeps them up and running, who knew😉 You’ve got high hopes and dreams and you’re plugging away at them making them a reality and it’s awesome! The next time you get stuck nuts and bolts and have to heat them try something different. Grab a crayon and after the steels hot just melt some on it instead of using spray lube. Most of that cooks off anyway but the crayon will melt up into the threads. I’ve been doing this for decades and it works better than any lube I’ve tried and it’s a lot cheaper too. Sounds silly but I assure you it’s true so no dozers are gonna fall on my head! You crack me up bro 🤣✌🏼 Thanks for taking us along👍🏼👍🏼
Dude, 3 hours of my favorite TH-camr! How lucky am I!! Thanks for the great content and tour of Tartu. Your hard work is paying off. Thanks Mr. Pants!!
Woot! 3.5 hours!!! Andris never apologize for engaging and entertaining us. Your roundabouts count pales in comparison to here in Scotland mate. Merry Christmas to you & the Super family. Take care & stay safe.
Considering the rounded rock from your "quarry" you should pan that for gold.OF course you're already making some with content but may be something to consider. Also you can always use dead tree limbs on the road for better traction during muddy times.
Run josephs tracks o ee the gravel back and forth to pack the gravel down. Or use your giant tractor for the same. I don't know why you didn't use it to tow your trailer. Thanks for the content. Love your work.
BOBCRAP has me DYING, lololol...AMAZING improvement Andris!! Let's hope that the gravel improves the drainage in that area. But I can't wait to see the SAWMILL!!!
I think you need to put a sign at the end of your driveway, mud for sale, 5:00 for regular and 10:00 for premium, 1 pound bag. Winter is here. Merry Christmas, Ant.
What a phenomenal pile of work. You're going to have a really nice yard after this is finished. No more mud. I really enjoyed the trip to town to get your tires. Keep up the great work and the projects we're going to have a long winter here in Canada
You should take one of those tanks you have and make it into a tow behind compactor. Awesome videos all the time. If you ever run out of walls to build, you can always come visit here. Lots of rocks everywhere.
Everyone tell your friends about this channel. Let’s get Andris to 100k subs!!!
Couldn’t agree more, 60K subs is shameful - the guy should have +500K, posts weekly - excellent quality and great content.
You need a stout farm horse or two. The tractor is digging itself into your saturated soil and making your work more time consuming. Horses also are good companions.
Still the best value TH-cam creator.

So here's what's going to happen. I will casually go hide under a rock for couple of days.
No you won't. You can't stay still for 3hours haha
Please, make and use the rock screen for the soil. It is killing me to see you struggle in every episode. Pluse supermom needs good soil!
you do habe those hydraulic motors you can make a big screen for the yanmar thatll rotate and u can just get rocks lots of rocks that way and with different size holws you can get small or big ones depending on what you want
u can even wash the rocks if you hook up the pressure washer tip into the spinning mesh bucket just cant go too far or the hose will rip
How can you hide under a rock? You have already moved it.
Here I am, sitting in Ireland with a big mug of coffee getting driven through Estonia... super stuff! Thank you.
