For years I've desired a recording of just the first and third section, to be used as a lullaby; but I could only find the song in its entirety. So, thank you for not including the middle bit. Tonight, I shall slumber peacefully as this plays softly on a loop.😴
Actually this piece playing through the ending credits is not by Shinichiro Ikebe (who indeed wrote the original soundtrack played through the rest of the film). This is an abridged recording of "In The Village" from the "Caucasian Sketches" suite, by classical composer Mikhail Ippolitov-Ivanov. I think Dreams is the best looking and also the best sounding movie I have ever seen. I think this song here proves the second point.
