Actually, Puff was an AC-41. Spooky was a variant, in a different AO. Sorry to split hairs. :)
What a scary monster !!!

Only to the enemy!
@@adrianfirewalker4183 ... but under friendly fire by this... a true nightmare too ;)
@@Frank-rh7vh I was lucky enough to never have experienced that
@@adrianfirewalker4183 ... totally agree, i`m by your side!
My father told me storys of the lesser badass ac130 and he use to work on them as a crew chief and when they take plane in for maintenance they had one of the engine on a test stand and use to push the throttle to max lol
Где применяют эти штурмовые самолёты?
Absolutely outstanding video.
God bless you guys 🙏🙏🙏
I thought whoever made this a reality must of been extremely intelligent to put it into action
Increible la technica y avangardista attitud of USA ARMY controling the globe! Evita
This is exactly what I mean by age discrimination for the military it does not take a 19 year old to be a weapons loader, this job as a weapons loader can be done by anybody in the age range of 40 to 70 years old freeing up the younger soldiers for more active duties that require a more physical ability
I get what you mean by freeing up the younger soldiers but do you really think a 70 year old could lift that 105 round I highly doubt it!
I’ve never seen this many weapons systems in action and on a C130
AC-130 Spectre has a 20mm M61, 40mm, and a 105
AC-130 Spooky 2 has a 25mm, 40mm, and 105
AC-130 Stinger II has a 30mm, no 40mm, a 105mm, and a Missile launch tube system onboard able to carry the AGM-176 Griffin missile or GBU-44/B Viper Strike smart bombs.
AC-130 Ghostrider as a 30mm, a 105mm, and wing mounted AGM-114 Hellfire missiles, and/or GBU-39s, and/or GBU-53s
Wrong
Good one
Woulda been handy at Bengahzi..
I Remember the patches though
Nice dash and do u guys got one that drives on its own somthing like a KITT KNIGHT RIDER Also system that stays in one place
Do u got no touching dash Simalaters Military vehicles bathroom ones also

Thank you this was very interesting to watch :)
Thank you, I haven't seen an AC-130 in about 20 years but the C-130 is still an amazing aircraft.
What a wonderful work horse. Does this come in a B-52? How about a 20mm single shot drone with a big magazine.
Surface too air launch shoulder fired missles, could be a problem.
Only in a "B" movie. This $200 Million aircraft has many countermeasures for little missiles.
Ac 130 is music to the US military operations ears
Engine is Allison T56
The most American thing I can think of is an ac-130 escorted by 2 a-10 thunderbolt and 2 f-22 raptors
f35 elongated fuselage

Cheers.
Is this plane flying over to DC ?
Is the Twin propellers better than single propellers ? Or can the pitch be increased depending on load?
does anybody know the specfic job at 3:06
He is probbaly a sensor operator, I think the CSO combat systems officer isn't a hands on the equipment guy. but i could be wrong..
Air Force AFSC is 1A4. The IR or TV Sensor Operator fires the weapons. However, in the AC-130U Gunship there was a Navigator, a Fire Control Officer, and a Electronic Warfare Officer. The Sensor Operators on the AC-130U Gunship were enlisted.
The men and women on the ground are well served by the AC-130 and A-10
They are dead. Have kids so they can test humanity
M102 howitzer from the air. thats game.

I'm salty they only showed the spooky what about the h model spectres or the ac130j ghostrider
Im suprised they let you that close to the cameras.
Sure come a long way since Puff, aye!
And here I thought Puff the Magic Dragon was a song about smoking pot...lol jk
When you watch c130 shoot the mini guns at night its like a lazerbeam burning the jungle up
Love it.
AC-130 eh? haven't work with those in a while
IF I owned my own Island I would want no less than two of these with the weapons they can put on target .
I worked on the B-52 in Andersen AFB, Guam and on the C-130 in Little Rock AFB, Arkansas!
SAC STRATEGIC AIR COMMAND
Persian Gulf War
You would think that when firing a cannon sideways in an airplane that concussion would shudder the plane sideways
Amazing!!!
Puff the Magic Dragon, figured I'd mention it since you didn't in the title.
bo0tsy1 the reason it’s not in the title is because the DC-3 is not in this video.
Didn’t Puff just have the Gatling gun ?
I wish they would design a 105 mm Gatling gun. That would be a sight to behold.
I did some math... the 105 gatling gun would fire 16 cubic feet of ordinance per second.... then the 130 would then have to fly for about an hour to find something new to blow up. :-)

👍👍👍
All I know is ; I’m glad the AC 130 is on our side
I was just talking about those guys
Can anyone tell me if they can defend against an air attack ?
Yes, with the rest of the Air forces jets.
Yes. Missle attack with flares.
I don’t know, seems like big target for a portable stinger
Does it get hot in there?
In my flight it was actually quite cold, there are holes in the airplane.
@@wcolby ahhh makes sense. I just thought firing all those weapons woulda generated heat but now that you put it that way, I can see the difference
It would be a great improvement
Do you see how this works now ?
