Love this colour on this car when you spend the time you did, I've done a similar one to my dad's one and it came up so good all done with the similar principal of removing just enough to get a shine but not concerned about the big ones as other detailers say its the diminishing returns when you start going after the bigger ones

No matter the goal of the customer to just enhance the gloss or completely removing all the imperfections, the right detailer will put the same level of determination to achieve the best results. I think this is one the longest videos from Sandro again prooving why he is the benchmark in auto detailing world where the goal was "just" enhancing the gloss. Thanks and yes, I definitely find it easier and produce better correction results when the paint is firstly well cleaned and decontaminated and it all helps the final coating/protection and enhancement stage as well.

Very good job, I have so much experience in the clear coat, especially red, black, yellow, orange, colours y recommend to you if you catch one more car same like that, you can use 3M perfect It LX and you will be amazed at the result we use here, and you can disappear the stains when you have started with your test paint. take care.

Sandro great video You have to use hushed tones when you talk about holden lol Its great your respectful to the customer wishes. which just happens to be your brother. WE all know you could have got it 90 to 95% corrected with a 2 stage polish As and when your brother goes to sell it you know you will still have more clear coat to do a full correction. Due to your sympathetic valet. Its great to see the customers wishes comes first. Good for you. A satisfied customer is the best BUSINESS STRATEGY of ALL. IN Sandro we trust

its cool to se how people in other countries detail cars. In Sweden we have special process that everyone (that cares about detailing) uses, we always start with a tar remover that removes all petroleum based grime. then we use an alkaline degreeser to remove all biological contaminants, after we rince the car with water we use an iron fallout remover, and after rinsing this off we foam the car and use a wash mit! This process is good for minimizing the risk of scratches since you remove most of the grime before you ever make physical contact with the paint!
That general process you described is pretty well used through the world, I’ve shown it in some past videos. Once you’ve been doing this for a while day in day out as a job you’ll come to realise that there’s pros and cons to every process and there’s no necessary right or wrong way - just your way 🙂 For example you’ll find that your tar and degreasers don’t work quite as well when they have to fight through a layer of dirt to get to the tar and “biological” contamination, so you may find doing an initial pre-treatment and pressure rinse allows those chemicals to work far better. You’ll also find that tar deposits and environmental fallout don’t get dislodge or scratch paint during a hand wash, they pretty much stays in tack, it’s just looser dirt that you should have mostly removed with a good pre-treatment that does.

Ab-so-lute-ly beautiful! I love the early Monaro, it's one of my dream cars. Specially the British VXR and VXR500 versions. The problem, it got to be left-hand-drive for me in Europe, and they don't exist unfortunately (as Pontiac GTO but those look terrible). Your job in paint correction is just amazing. Your easy listening story telling, and superb videographing the whole process is unbelievable. The 55 minutes were gone before I knew it. This is an absolute 11 out of 10!
