There are three of us in it, guitar, bass, and drums and I play the bass in the group. We're a classic rock band that used to be somewhat heavy metal back in the mid '80s. The guitar player sings most of the songs but I sing a few as well. I think that your two appearances that I saw on the show are just so cool. They had writers. For some contestants, the entire thing was scripted. But I think many, like me, didn't stick to their scripts. They interviewed you, so the scripts were based off what the two people said, probably to keep it clean enough. My roommate made me promise that I would admit I had been in a jacuzzi with my second date (different TH-cam) because he called so much. Even though I act like it was an accident, it was intentional, and not part of the script.

You are absolutely correct. I never lived in CA but I loved those Cal commercials. Here in Phoenix, back in the 70's, we had a car guy who wore a black hat and a mask. He was the "Lone Arranger". His sidekick was a hot babe dressed like a dancehall floozy. Her name was "Carlotta Sales". They were hilarious. I bought two or three vehicles from Fann Toyota. Owned by Don and Floyd Fann. They had a comedy routine at the end of which they'd jump up in the air. The good thing about Fann is that both owners were on the lot at all times. You have an issue, you could walk right into their office. I never did but I met Don once at a charity function. A real sweetheart of a guy.
I love this kind of soft look only a VHS can provide, the colors are strangely vivid, and you have a few interesting glitches here and there. I'm trying to find lots of techniques to distort VHS tapes for a project I'm working on. Unfortunately, I can't wait 20 years for the film to age. But thanks for the reply!

I got Cal rolled! Didn't know his commercial was on here...I look away and hear "if your looking for a bargain PUSSY COW!!!" I choked on my water and thought wtf is a pussy cow??? Then I look and saw the commercial for Cal what hisname ....totally forgot about that guy!
