I really want to try this but i don't have the balls to do it, I think about it every time when I take the East Rail Line (EAL) to Admiralty and when I almost got it once, a staff told me that it was the last station and I have to get off, so I stopped trying from then on, but I still really want to experience the train turning back in the tunnels.

There was a military camp (coded Borrett) built under Mount Davis next to Kennedy Town in WWII, it was built to assemble military equipments and test them at Green Island opposite, they even built a military hospital nearby (now Queen Mary hospital?), tons of equipments were shipped to support the UK warships at Wan Chai port from 1935 - 1955, the camp is still in used today (maybe the Chinese took over?)... Usually the final 2 rides of the MTR at night will head to the camp for pickups and anyone who accidentally arrives at the camp will be questioned for 2 days and if proven innocent, they will release the person back onto the train but will first lock that person in a light room and he/she will lost track of time and partial memories, then the person will return to Kennedy Town station not remembering anything and believe he is still on the same train and the same ride before entering the camp, the person will have a short duration of blindness (just like in this recording he cannot sense MTR lights when arriving the station) but has quickly reinstalled the connection... I sincerely congratulate this person to have returned safely and unharm back to Kennedy Town.

If you know the fact, the island line was designed to connect Cyber Port and Wah Fu. So there is a section of tunnel under Mt. David for that purpose. It is now to be used for the train turnaround. You don’t need to try it by yourself which is illegal and subject to fine if caught with intentional purpose.
Under normal circumstances, the train will auto-turnaround and be headed to platform 1. There are outstable tracks beyond KET if trains need to be parked there for special operation reasons.

This phenomenon is even clearer in Tsuen Wan Line, where beyond Tsuen Wan Station terminal it will be the same thing as you experienced, but the entire section is on ground level. I used to live at a building next to the track which I can clearly see the trains go beyond the terminal, stops somewhere, and goes back to the terminal on the other side. But yes, seeing it is fun, but trying it is not. You are not suppose to be stayed in train because the insurance is not include to the passengers when the train is inside the reverse siding. Citybus route 8P is an express route that travels along the Island East Corridor, it is one of the most frequent scheduled bus routes on Hong Kong Island, it is also one of the bus routes which is faster than taking the MTR (eg. from Chai Wan to Causeway Bay, route 8P usually arrives first if there’s no traffic jam)

Maybe, usually at the other side of the platform they will walk from the back to front (or new driver)

Citybus route 8P is an express route that travels along the Island East Corridor, it is one of the most frequent scheduled bus routes on Hong Kong Island, it is also one of the bus routes which is faster than taking the MTR (eg. from Chai Wan to Causeway Bay, route 8P usually arrives first if there’s no traffic jam)
