What d o you mean deserves so much more than it got? My favourite anime of all time is Hyouka, but I don't share this sentiment. Sure, I wish it was more popular, but it still is widely recognized by many sources as being among the elites of anime. On myanimelist, it is ranked as the 78th best anime of all time. Theanimeman has a video which takes data from all over the world, which ranked hyouka as the 83rd best anime of all time. Hyouka was part of crunchyrolls top 100 anime of the 2010's list. I'll never forget this series for a very peculiar reason. During one of the episodes, while talking about some random old woman as a focus of a mystery, they show a heartwarming timeline montage from when she was a child up until the present day. It baffled me how much detail and effort went into this one inconsequential character you never get to see again. I learned to appreciate how much effort they placed into each episode. It pains me to say it (so many good series), but it's my favorite SoL as well.
One of the best damn animes I have ever watched. I'm not even mad that it doesn't have a second season, because I feel like they ended it pretty neatly. I would love another season from Kyoto Animation though.
As a huge mystery fan, I really love the novelty of this series' twist of applying a deduction narrative to what would otherwise be everyday occurrences and problems, and not needing to throw in shocking murders every episode to deliver a satisfying puzzle.
True... As a fellow mystery fiction fan, Hyouka has a perfect mix between its deduction and daily life. I mean, every other "mystery-tagged" anime series are mostly cheap on the mystery, to the point where it becomes a mere gimmick. If not that, then they will mix mystery with horror or gore. Hyouka is truly a rare breed. The word "endangered" can't even describe its rarity.
People say that this show is really boring, but i see this as a slice of life anime that is fun and hilarious. The story is really light yet i always wanted to know more whats coming. Its not an anime that will make you hanging at the edge of your seat but it is still fun to watch. Hyouka will always have a special place in my heart. Romaji lyrics ❤️
The best Kyo Ani series.
This opening song still makes goosebumps to me
so many years has passed since I saw this masterpiece in 2012
still one of my favorite anime and opening song
The GOAT anime for me
Ahh just heart connection
This hits so hard..... Why?
I've been asking myself the same question since i first watched this masterpiece.
Fun fact: At the beginning of the opening houtaro wears all black, but when he notices how boring a grey-colored life is, symbolised by the sky scene, he starts wearing a white shirt.
1:06 my fav part
If i don't have to do it, I won't.
If i do have to do it make it quick
Ifykyk
This shows makes me nostalgic about my school life
We should do something ....so that they bring this series back ..and finished the story ..
This opening is like a movie opening🔥
The top 3 chads ever existed.
Sakuta / Ayanokoji

I watched this anime right before I entered high school and that was the brightest thing I can call from my teenage era .. the opening popped in my suggestions and now I'm totally not crying of nostalgia
3 years later and I am totally crying
This is a new anime on my Things To Watch List.
Takayama is such a beautiful city!
I missed this song 😢❤
TH-cam didn't recommend you this. You searched for it. In fact, we all did
Im scared of a future in which I will never experience these feelings again
Oh heck how could I forget this OP
Definitely one of the top 3 anime of 2012.
Along with chunibyou and mirai nikki
0:56 is the best part I loved it
Who cares about romance and love if you had this group of friends
Hyouka is simply beautiful.
one of the best anime OPs
This song is soul soothing. Indeed.
