2018! After all these years...! Now I already became in my early 40s but I still feel so young and alive like when I was charmed by this great song for the first time 22 years ago. Yeah, the '90s was such a great decade. Dishwalla was one of the reasons...!
I mainly listen to Extreme Metal but I think this is such a great written song, and I never get tired of listening to it since it was released. Pet Your Friends is such a great piece of work, and I consider it to be their best album!
When I was in 4th grade and got this albumn, my mom saw the cover and asked me why it has a girl running around in a field wearing a bra with a dear. LOL. I never understood this. I just said the music is great.
I saw this performance only once in my life, and could never forget it. Especially the end where they rock out. I never knew the name of the band, or the song. Thanks to TH-cam, I've found them both.🙏🏾 And it's just as good as I remembered.
Thanks for posting!! I never had seen their performance at the Billboard Awards the year CBC won. It's fun to see clips of them playing live with the long hair. :)
Dishwalla is a truly exceptionel group....with J.R. Richards on vocals....the result is perfect!!!!! I hopes they will play together for our greatest joy!! I expect the J.R. Richards solo Album " The beautiful End "....I listened to the songs, there are beautiful. Thank you J.R.
shit i really love his melodic voice...your one of my idol...ever since i listen to your sounds way back on my high school days.^_^ still remember that time.
@sugarpop619 You're right, they're very underrated! Too tell you frankly i've listening to their musics for years now and i never got tired of them, which never happened with other band/ singer!
"The band's name comes from an Indian term for a person providing cable television to a neighbourhood". Thats so true. When I first heard the bands name I was like what is this..sounds like a hindi lingo and yeah it was to be.
2:27 in, who ever that bass player is...Looks like he's enjoying himself. After listening to this, makes me love this band even more. Taste of Chicago 96'
@wunderbubbletv Hmm... you speak as though you have encountered--and know the minds of--every man. Don't let your limited experience speak for the entirety of existence. You'll be doing yourself a real disservice.
Stupidest is not a word....the superlative form of stupid is "most stupid". I also don't see how being an atheist is a pathetic cliche. I'm an atheist but I don't consider myself "special" because of that.
I absolutely love this song! I just don't like the fact that they refer to god as a woman. I just wish that could be changed up a little bit but Love Dishwalla! Great band, not to many like this.
a time when music at the "music" awards didn't suck!
I love how the singer just barely lets his voice break/crack. Hes unbelievable
This guy had the most beautiful voice of the 90's !!
This song is like a moment in time. One of my all time favs.
J.R. Richards voice will always be the best rock Voices ever.

2018 for sure. This performance never gets old for me.
I’m not generally a softy and I listen to a lot of metal music but this song is so nostalgic! 🙏🏼
the song is kinda timeless to me..i still think it sounds great and it puts a smile on my face :]
His voice, his face, I can't take my eyes off the lead singer - WOW!
I cant believe was 12 years ago! 1996 was a great year for rock!
Seeing the band for the past 15 years, it's almost impossible to imagine that they once were sorta mainstream like this.
I mainly listen to Extreme Metal but I think this is such a great written song, and I never get tired of listening to it since it was released. Pet Your Friends is such a great piece of work, and I consider it to be their best album!

now THAT'S a real VOCALIST! damn good singer.
JR is a gorgeous man and a great singer. A comeback would be great.

JR sounds great live. Thanks for posting.
I wish there was a clip where Dishwalla is shown receiving their Billboard rock award
Dishwalla is a truly exceptionel group....with J.R. Richards on vocals....the result is perfect!!!!!
I hopes they will play together for our greatest joy!!

Still amazing in 2012!
Still amazing late 2017 & will still be amazing in 2018 & forevermore.
2:27 in, who ever that bass player is...Looks like he's enjoying himself. After listening to this, makes me love this band even more. Taste of Chicago 96'
They would never in a million years have a real rock band on the Billboard Music Awards today.
Nice... he sounds very good live. And not bad looking... :)
@sugarpop619 i agree,and lead singer is a hottie
Underrated
he looks more like karl urban..the leader of the riders of rohan, from LOTR
nyway, love this song!!!its never gets old..
2015!
I was thinking the very same thing.
why did he start singing the second verse? 0:25
Dishwalla is one of only a few bands that don't suck live..
JR is a very good singer! I still cant figure out Dishwalla's style. Interesting...
I like this, especially at 3:30 - Dishwalla goes apeshit crazy. I didn't know JR can play the guitar too.
Does anyone know if they have any other good songs?
Que tal show en una premiacion, no como las de ahora que son pura payasada, que buen grupo dando catedra de presentacion en un evento
This song is better than any Bush song any day... But it's true, this is their best song.
Look at me when you sing to me.
why did they do the 2nd verse 1st??????
this guys right the people who are saying he's wrong are mormans
He likes Jim Morrison, damn !!
they shoulda just ended it before the "jam" ... really impressed with them live though... better then that video... go 90s
Any reason it starts on verse 2 ? Lol
When MTV was meaningful for us.
This is great, but much rather they'd played the whole song instead of a 3 min version followed by some instrumental.
4 other musicians in the band, and not one of these guys can sing harmony??
wow great voice, and handsome too..
he kinda looks like brad pitt...
anyways love them!!
theyre having a show in the LA area in about a month. no J.R though
he does look like brad pitt. this song is da BOMB
Well said, haha
I didn't know that Brad Pitt sings!
"there were three of us in the family, or four counting my pet rabbit" viz God can be female, Counting Blue Cars... lol
Yeah, That guy looks just like Brad Pitt.
@wunderbubbletv Hmm... you speak as though you have encountered--and know the minds of--every man. Don't let your limited experience speak for the entirety of existence. You'll be doing yourself a real disservice.
no, they started mid-song for some reason :)
This guy is overdressed for this song.
Great band, not to many like this.
yea but bush is way better this is like the only good song this band made
