When I was 5 years old, my mother burned me with a curling iron... She took me to the doctor immediately! This story still stinks and I pray for the kid and hope his life is good.
That was your mother, this mother has been left alone from a young age to raise this child. CPS were already involved, like they are with most single parents when their life has been unstable like hers, which explains her reasoning. In her head taking him to the doctors meant losing him. Most mothers will do anything not to lose their children, so that’s how she seen it.

If he gave her an STD while she was pregnant then it says something about his carelessness as a father...not to mention that he went a month without seeing his son.
It shows the reason she's @ her breaking point, also shows that he's caused all kinds of issues... yet he is pointing his finger. Also notice a FAMILY MEMBER had to tell him about the burn? Means he wasn't even in contact with his child.
Losing your mum and brother and being a single parent. My heart does go out to her. The guy moved on, moved town with a new life and this girl is clearly grieving with limited help to support her child. Of course she wouldn’t want DCS involved, it’s the last she has and she’d risk the child being taken for abuse??? ESP because she DIDN’T abuse her child. DCS and doctors take kids away for the smallest reasons she knew what would happen especially grieving. Woman need so much help

Shiiiiid my son got hurt in the most random, unexplainable way once and I took him to the ER. My son used to be really shy and look at me before he spoke to anyone so he constantly looked like an abused kid. I definitely always had cps on my mind when I took him. It's scary for sure. Yes you want to get your child help and you do have those thoughts but that shouldn't stop you from taking your kid to get help.

Poor baby went without treatment for a significantly large and painful burn. Awful. And yes, she felt guilty, that’s why she was afraid the baby would get taken. The father sucks. Throwing money at a baby isn’t all there is to being a father, it takes involvement, love, guidance, hugs and kisses to create that bond. Hopefully they both made more effort after the show.
There are different killers in this world. Some killers are okay with some stuff and some will do anything. Just because someone ends someones life doesn't mean they have it on their heart to hurt a child.

The 5 month old baby was in PAIN from the untreated burn. She allowed the baby to suffer because of her fears of consequences from her own negligence! That’s not what a mother does! I feel for her loss of family but that’s still not an excuse to allow a infant to suffer with such horrific burns, untreated!

When I was pregnant, the guy I was with gave me a STD as well. Luckily I got it cleared up before having him because that shit can effect the unborn child.

Right, so it’s better to let a baby work through a burn with no pain medication or whatever. Had that burn gotten infected he could have needed skin grafts or lost his leg. I’d take my chances so my child wouldn’t suffer.
