It's not about luck, its about having interactions where the game checks if you're undead, until you're checked you wont get flagged, the things that set this off are, getting hit by silver weapons, getting hit by sun damage from dawnguard spells, the dawnbreaker effect, stendaars aura, guardian circle etc, anything that would need to test if you're undead. Your advice is solid to become a vampire asap, you then need to make sure that before you become cured or hybrid that you get hit with one of those spell otherwise youv'e missed your shot If the first time you are hit with one AFTER you're a vampire you will be marked undead forever no matter what. If you are hit with one BEFORE, you will be living until youre a vampire, at which point becoming a hybrid or being cured will set you to the living tag again, ruining necromage for "non vampires" This video explains it well: th-cam.com/video/vpFtq6rrkvo/w-d-xo.html (Use captions) Something I've wanted to figure out is if you have permanent necromage, if it affects the 25% better illusion buff vampires get (basically youd be cured and become a vampire AGAIN with necromage up to make it better)
Can you test this with the Vampire Lord power? The math doesn't check out. You get the 1.56x times buff from your perks, but you only get 1.25x when transforming (gaining bonus stats at the start of transformation).
You get the 1.56× when using a character with both Necromage AND Bloodworm Helm. This character is only using bloodworm helm. I could make a video showing both, but I can't tell you how long it will take for me to have the opportunity to make it.
Every time you use the Beast Form power, you get "cured" of Vampirism. If this happens, Harkon will not consider you a Vampire. All you have to do to remedy that is use the Vampire Lord transformation and revert back. If you do this, you will once again be a Vampire. All NPC interactions that care about you being a Werewolf will always consider you to be a Werewolf.

Apparently the reason for this is that when you transform it unequips your gear, transform you (only 1.25x), then reequips your gear.

Great... did you ever tried using the glitch to duplicate the helms, and then stack equip'em, after transforming while talking to follower?
Not yet. Ive been meaning to make more videos, but i rarely get the time. I'll check it out.
How is being a hybrid received in game? Do Companions consider you a vampire? Does Harkon get pissed at you?

@@oblivionwalker8703 How does it affect the Necromage perk? Does it undo/revert the effects of perk buffs and items once you go into Beast Form?
