My dad is fighting stage 4 cancer in his lungs, liver, and brain. He had brain surgery this week actually and it went well. I got to bring him home today. I sent him this song some weeks ago, I need him here with me he’s my hero. Taught me everything I know about life, being a man and what I do for a living. I refuse to let him go. This song will always get to me.
Thinking of my Dad He passed away in 1986. He never got to meet my husband or my kids I tell them all the time about how hard he worked to take care of us. Such beautiful song
This is such a beautiful song. It does touch the heart. There are so many good Zac Brown Band songs. Check out “Highway 20 Ride”, “Your Majesty”, “Whatever it is”, “Bittersweet” - those are a few of my favorites. Love your channel and your heartfelt reactions 🙂
This song hits hard ... I'm daddies little girl I would hand him tools when he would world on cars and yhsnksbto him I know how to paint a house and drive standard transmission car. I used to lay under the kitchen table with a nutter knife pretending I was working on a car just like my dad. He now has moderate dementia it's hard to see him not remember things like that ❤❤❤❤
Give me a guy by himself, and who can play the guitar well, and I am content. No effects and no shredding. These performances, and a good song, always put a huge smile on my face. Thanks for reacting to this video!
That was absolutely beautiful and I had chills,I lost my Dad about 5yrs ago and that's what I'd call him.. Oldman, I lived 200 miles away from him I'd call him and say Hey Oldman I'm coming down to see you if the lords willing and the creek don't rise he'd start laughing and would say...I'll start building a Dam 😊 I'm 60yrs old and I was a Daddy's Girl and he was my Hero and still is, Thank You Sir for your reaction hope you have a blessed evening 🙏 sending love from Lafayette Georgia 🍑
Wonderful song. Now, I don't think of this as a sad story, just an unfortunate part of my journey. It is about my great father - WWII Vet, Cop, business savvy, sport coach, and friend. My dad had Alzheimers when he was 54, and I was 18. As the youngest child, I became his pseudo-father/cargiver. Less than 1 year later, he didn't know me. When a nurse asked, he said something like, "I don't know, but he's very nice." He soon after became nonverbal/immobile and passed 6 years later. His words still resonate with me because I know he liked me. I am now 61, and I have every good trait that he imprinted on me. My mom always said he would have been proud of the man I had become. I miss them, but I was lucky to have my incredible mom until 2018 - she was 91, and still sharp as a tack.
I lost my Dad 4 years ago today. December 19 2019. This is my first time hearing this song.
Made me think of my dad. I sure do miss him.
Jerry Reed... Lord Mr. Ford! 😂

Prayers for your dad. Mine passed away from Colon Cancer back in December of 2020. He was my best friend.

A heartfelt song with a simple acoustic guitar.

"Sweet Annie" is another song by ZBB. They wrote it and perform it so well. The harmonies are impeccable.
