Oh boy!😱 I used to love watching KHJ back when I was a kid! I'm not old enough to remember Sinister Seymour, but I do remember that Elvira-Mistress of the Dark would do her weekly shows on KHJ every Saturday night back during the 80's! Unfortunately, since changing to K-CAL, the station no longer plays movies~Ever!🥺...I hope we'll have the opportunity to see what is on these little pieces of TV History, especially some of the commercials from during that time!💚.. A special thanks to Raymond for his contribution🙏, and best of luck on being able to get these tapes transferred so that you (and maybe us😉) can enjoy them! Take care! Ms. Elizabeth 📺📼💿📺📼💿
Awesome "get" for you; the independent station KHJ-TV had some great content back in the 70s. It's my favorite of the local Los Angeles stations. God bless Raymond for salvaging the tapes and donating them to your channel. I can't wait to see what's on them. Any Seymour footage is the holy grail of vintage Los Angeles television
This is great to hear. I once read that Seymour's "Fright Night" show, debuted in October of 1970 on KHJ-9. After maybe 2 or 3 years, his show was carried on KTLA channel 5. Then, it eventually returned to KHJ-9, where it remained until he passed away in 1975. If anyone has anymore information on this, please share it with us. 😊

@Muzikgirl67 After reading your post, I posted some information on Seymour just in case you're interested. 🤓
Awesome - looking forward to finding out more when the tapes get transferred! Thanks to Raymond!

Whatever video footage that are on these tapes, thank you for saving them and preserving them for future generations to see.
By the end of the '80s, RKO General Tire was out of the TV business and KHJ was among the last stations they had. It became KCAL.

Seymour!!!
FedEx delivered something, and it wasn't crushed/burned/full of holes? That's a total of ONE this year.
I wish he didn't use FedEx. I've had many problems with them in the past and they're a piece of crap.
Wow. What happens to all these tapes with this great footage? You keep talking about all this Seymour footage and we never see any of it.
I have several tapes but you need to understand these are very obsolete formats Stay tuned..
May i ask how long before we get to enjoy these videos?
Very soon. Stay tuned.....
