Thanks so much for showing the birds mouth technique! Also it was absolutely awesome that you were so open about the expenses for the summer kitchen. So many TH-camrs are not transparent about the costs of living for their lifestyle. It is extremely appreciated . Always enjoy your handyman videos, learn a little something every time ! 👍
Thanks Paul, I'm happy to hear that my ramblings are useful. I'm still learning new stuff so I don't assume people already know the things that I have just found out. Of course some people do! We try to be upfront with costs as well as issues that may arise. We have an optimistic outlook but that doesn't mean everything works first time. It's just our approach when problems happen. That includes price rises and unexpected costs like car troubles etc. Hopefully we can show that this sort of stuff can be done on a budget, that's why it takes time!
Beautiful work once again ... While hunting for furniture for our Botev Houses Conny saw this wonderful dresser and grabbed my arm: "this is 200% what Lynne is looking for!" ... And the rest is history 😄
Thanks Simone, we're pleased with the darker stain on the wood, untreated it was too light. The silver panels help keep it light under the roof while providing necessary shade. Now to add the finishing touches...
Hi Lynn and Adam. I love the kitchen and I'm sure you will use the area a lot. The roof will get slowly an other color, it will become darker. I have the same roofing and I used also,to protect the screws and to prevent for leaks, plastic protective caps. It must be a pleasure to cook and eat outside during the summer.
Thank you, it really is surprising how much we use it already. The shaded workspace is fantastic for not getting too hot or sunburnt! The screws I used have rubber washers on them to help form a water tight seal. We have had some very heavy rain and so far, so good.
Wow I love the dresser I have never seen one with glass doors on top. I'm a great believer in waiting, something always turns up. Your kitchen is fab. and at a great price, Adam you are as handy as a skirt pocket. Good grief Lidl sell misters, you know they had 🛶 canoes last year.
Great job! I've saved this one as we want to build a car port and a shady seating area once we're there full time. Thanks for the link for the fines site.
It's not too tricky to do, just a bit heavy at times! The key is in the planning. I spent a lot of time just looking at the space and not actually doing much...
The wife decided she wanted a summer/canning/outdoor kitchen as our kitchen is very small and she didn't want to heat up the house further during summer. Have the builders here at the moment. I just have to build the 'farmhouse' table and bench but I need it to cool down quite a bit before I take on that project.
It is far too hot to do anything except for really early in the morning. Wait for the cooler weather and call the time in between the "planning phase"!
Fantastic effort shame the roofing sheet didn’t come in clear corragated I would have made just one of them clear to bring in some light over the work surface bit or just one in the middle but great effort

The unit looks great, that's a nice find. The summer kitchen looks great for that price!, Keep up the good work.
It's been a good week. We just have to maintain momentum!

It certainly looks like it was made for the room. Lynne loves it! Thank you!
A great job yet again guys it looks fab
Thanks Andy. It should help us stay outside for more of the good weather, and enable us to use the area if it ever rains again! 🤣
The summer kitchen sure looks nice! I love the colour of the stain with the tin roof💖

@@ourlittlebulgarianadventure looking forward to seeing them!

Thanks Miriam, Lynne loves the dresser. It is exactly right!
It's amazing what you can get from Lidl, I do seem to buy a lot of tools there! 😁

@@ourlittlebulgarianadventure oh well that's a helpful tip as Darren is very good at looking into space and doing nothing. 🤣
@@NewBulgarians It's an important stage if any job! 🤣

We thought about different options but in the end we went for it being affordable and able to support a couple of feet of snow!
But tomorrow will mark my first year of living here in Bulgaria by myself.
Happy anniversary, that's year 1 taken care of!
Still very, very hothere. Much too hot to do anything
The early mornings are really pleasant now but it soon heats up.
