Firespray's are.. different to fly. They take a kind of finess that isnt normally found in larger ships. But once you get used to them, they can be really good. I've found it generally better to try to keep ships in the rear arc, and using your boost to get out of their arcs while keeping your target in. They aren't really good for jousting like that imo.. but thats me.
It lets you change the paint job on the ship. Such as on the T-65 X-Wings you can give them Luke's Red Five or when you field Wedge you can use Wedge's Red Two. You can also make them green so on and so on. Its pretty nice.
This app looks awesome, but when I went to download for android, I was warned that this app was a security risk. I guess I'll have to wait for stores to re-open.
I feel like heroic is underpriced in the game. Crack Shot can only work once per game and it is now bumped up to 2 points however Heroic can trigger virtually any turn. I think it needs to be more in the 2 to 3 point range.
Sure, it CAN trigger, but how often DOES it trigger? And how often does that actually change the outcome? Meanwhile, Crack Shot works after you see how many evades the opponent has, and when you use it it will *guarantee* one extra damage.
@@centurosproductions8827 The fact that it can get you out of a jam on offense or defense to me warrants that it is greater than one point. Also Crack shot only triggers if in the bullseye.
it feels bad that swarms, either full or mini are basically meta/most used everywhere :'( even in fly casual look how many of the Ai randoms are just generic 4+ ships and so many of the popular squads for all factions are just many ships , so many squad ideas or ships just feel left behind or useless to use esp large ships.
There are meta squads that are as low as 2 ships as well (double sprays and Boba+Fenn are right near the top, as at the point Fly Casual took that data). X-Wing squads are 2-8 ships, so I don't think there's justification to believe that 2-4 ships are supposed to be dominant - 2 or 3 ships are the extreme low end of the ship count range. As for the AI running brute-force squads - those are easier for an AI to fly than things like aces that need finesse or specific strategy/tactics, so I suspect that's why the Random choice tends towards those.
@@FlyCasualGame Thank you for Fly Casual! I really like having an offline X-Wing option, especially right now when I've no opportunity for in-person gaming.

I didn't realize this was a thing! Thank you for the vid! I'll have to check this out to get back into X-Wing. Been playing MCP at home haha!
That popular list option is neat! Better than just random generator.
Great video, can't wait til game stores can safely reopen, but FlyCasual will have to do til then
Just curious, why do you always use the default obstacles instead of trying out some of the gas clouds or debris fields?
It allows only asteroids.
@@zoch9797 No, in the Squadron screen, between "Squad" and "Skins" is a tab for "Obstacles". You can change your obstacles here.
Got to say I've been watching your videos and it really has me interested in starting this game.
There was a Skins section in the setup. Does that allow you to use alt paint schemes for ships or is it for the background?

Going straight at 15 min was such a bad idea. Overall looks fun playing on the computer though.
You played against a really good list. I think some of your maneuvers put you in the hole a bit. Rooting for you to win one of these!
That's awesome! I will have to try that at some point...
Love your batrep videos Crabbok
What's the game? Where can i find it?
This was a fun video! Thanks for posting.
I’ve wanted to field 4 T-70s😮
was a fun fight

Yes, but some advanced manipulations are needed: github.com/Sandrem/FlyCasual/wiki/How-to-run-Fly-Casual-on-MacOS-Catalina

Could you do a video on how to download this game I've been trying and couldn't get it to work.
Something like this?
