Frankencart Tool Cart Tour (updated detailed version)

  • This is a thorough tour of my frankencart. Most modified tool cart on TH-cam I believe. It started as a blue point- by snap on cart that has been modified a lot and loaded. I forgot to mention the orange Grypmat on the corners and the blue Boltster organizer under the right one. Also on the back corners are brake caliper tools.
    The top shelf left side wrenches are standard 1/4”-1” and 21mm-24mm…I think I’m out of room. LOL! Should I upgrade to a regular cart? Hard to let go of this one I really like the set up but don’t have any more space for more toolz! Guess I’ll have to put any more i get in the box. THANK YOU FOR WATCHING!!!

    Been a tech for about 14 years, and that cart made me cry tears of joy. Any new mechanics out there, take a lesson from this guy. You make it personal, and you will always know where every tool is, and you will be more efficient while on the clock.

    I have a Frankencart too but I made the cart myself out of shelving material and put some wheels on. it sits about 2metres high and I still have some space for bits and pieces so it's a work in progress. You've given me some great ideas to continue the frankenisation of my cart - so thanks for that! You got me quite jealous with all the top quality tools you got on yours so we now have toosl race on our hands. I can see I am way behind on the airtools so I have a bit of work to do there. I'd love to integrate my compressor with the cart but I already have to upgarde the wheels have to do that first.
    So, whats the biggest socket you got? Mine is a 65MM.
    Peaople ask me, "what do you need all those tools for"? My answer, "I own a landrover".

    • @WorX4ToolZ
      @WorX4ToolZ  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s awesome and your cart sounds huge my frankencart is pretty small compared to regular carts. I’m glad it could give you some good ideas! I barely use the air tools anymore I have electric guns and ratchets but i haven’t found a way to put them where the air tools are and I’m sure not going to give up the air tools because they are a great back up and don’t have batteries that run out lol. I would love to see a picture of your cart. If want email a picture of it to me that would be sweet. worx4toolz@yahoo.com Thanks for sharing that I appreciate it. My biggest sockets probably 36 mm. And I love the answer about the Land Rover. That’s great and so true.

    Obviously it works for you and that’s all that matters. Tools pay the bills. Big carts and tool boxes are just along for the ride. Don’t get me wrong, they’re nice but they don’t pay the bills. You are blessed to work in an environment where you don’t have to guard your tools constantly. I work for myself so if a tool gets missing it’s my fault for losing it.

    • @WorX4ToolZ
      @WorX4ToolZ  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@thefogisgone3662 LOL that’s the main reason I don’t get the soft grip handle ratchets, because they won’t fit in the shelf holes on the sides. I got the cart a very long time ago from an snapon dealer that started his own discount tool truck and had it left over. You can still get a cart like that now from snapon the cheap 2 shelf only square handle on the ends instead of round. But it definitely Has to be modified to hold tools like this they’re not meant to do that😃

    Not impressed , get a real cart and be done with it , not practical in a shop setting , love the bouquet of snap on screw drivers , primary objective of a tool cart or box it has to be some kind of secure and this is so not unless you work around saints , I work around priests .

      Primary objective of a tool cart or box is to secure the tools??? Its meant to function out of. I see this as a very functional tool cart. I work in a shop of 10 people. If I can't trust those people, why am I working there? I have two fairly large tool boxes and I don't lock them. When I go on vacation I leave the boxes open so if someone needs a specialty tool. They can get the job done.
