WOW. Just WOW. I would have NOT gone to the FIRST dinner the old bat invited me to. She was working you from the very beginning, just to see what she could take from you. YIKES! With a mother like that, who needs enemies? Thank you for the story! 😊
Why would she tell her mother, who's shown no interest in her other than her money, that she was leaving town for a while? Sometimes when a little voice in your head says, " we're all faaamily ", tell that voice, " ahhhh shaddap! "

Usually, but not always. Sometimes it is worded as a time period, such as ten years. Then the judgement would be in effect. But I think they mixed up child support.

Her biological mother showed her true nature after ignoring the daughter and after the father asked for full custody even though the last 6 months was at his house. That is when she missed the child support (not alimony) Emily was already the monster at a young age. It will only get worse for her.
Alimony and child support payments are not the same. By age 12, Britney knew she was just a source of money to her mother. She should have shared with her father what her half-sister Emily had said about what their mother had said about waiting until she (Britney) turned eighteen when the money would stop. Britney's father surely would have gone back to court to try to get full custody. By 15, Britney could decide for herself which parent she wanted to live with and the CS money would have stopped then. But, we can't blame the child for wanting the mother's love and affection. That's innate.
How stupid can this girl be? Knowing her little sister saw her banking account numbers, telling her mom she'd be out of reach for 10 days? She had book smarts, but nothing in the way of common sense. Hard to sympathize with her.

It absolutely sickens me how some parents can completely alienate their children like this it's absolutely despicable and can do some serious long term damage to the child trust me I know because I went through it myself when my half brother was born I went from being the baby with all the attention for 10 straight years to barely even existing it sucks big ones
As I understand it, once a child reaches 16 or maybe earlier, he or she can choose which parent to be with. It's totally inhumane to make a child live with the family that they don't want to live with.
Alimony? I think they meant child support. Alimony should have been cut off when the ex-wife remarried… unless that changed and I didn’t know. It’s not like try to keep current on American divorce laws…
What a ridiculous story. How did her mother get into her banking app? To get into mine, you need a password and the bank would not have made a transfer that big without my personal approval. Is it that easy to steal in the US? And what’s this about her “real” family? Her Dad and his wife and son are her family.
Plus the theft of the key! The author emphasizes the fact that Brittany's new house has just the one set of keys, but so did her previous apartment - until her mother stole her key and made a duplicate! Unless Brittany didn't mention that in her police report, that should have been factored in. That mother was a straight up predator against her own oldest daughter!
Myyyy god this story rings sooo true to me, most of it anyway, except my father was away in the merchant navy & even when he came home he ignored me anyway. Memories eh, yugh. I really hated my parents.
Exactly. And alimony has nothing to do with the kid anyway. What they are calling alimony is really child support. Alimony is a completely different thing and alimony DOES stop once the ex receiving it remarries. Child support doesn't stop until the kid turns 18, usually.
Alimony? Alimony should have stopped when mom married the stepdad. If custody and living arrangements are 50/50, there should be little to no child support due. Still, this is a sad and certainly possible story about relationship neglect.
I love these videos every day, they make my day. But find it hard to read (I'm deaf) the story lines near the end of the videos, because the pop-ups for 2 other videos block the typed words, so the ending is a bit hard to read. But anyways like I mentioned above, love these videos.👍👍
It isn't alimony, it's child support. Also, alimony ends after re-marriage. The people that do these downloads don't seem very knowledgeable or are foreigners to the United States.
Speaking psychology, for a woman, the last child she gives birth to, is special. That is because, at some point in life, the woman realises that her current pregnancy could be the last child she gives birth to… her last chance to become a mother. This realisation leads her to be over-loving, over-caring, over- indulgent, and over-protective of her last child.
It is difficult to believe anyone is so stupid. Why didn't you just ask your Mum to keep all your cash for you under her pillow? I mean, really. After knowing so clearly that your Mum only kept you for the money. What a fool.

You don't pay alimony to someone who has remarried is child support and you don't pay child support if you have the child half the time
That is BS. How did they get into her bank account?? The bank is accountable because she is not on anything of hers.
After a partner remarries, alimony automatically stops.
the wording was wrong, they meant child maintenance.
