    If I were the judge I would have given her 6 months of jail time since it was her first offense as well as insisting that she make a full restitution within 30 days.
    Getting rid of toxic people is the right thing to do including having the mother arrested for theft. She needed to learn a lesson.
    Emily was a self-absorbed, selfish, greedy sister just like their mother.
    I'm happy that everything ended well.

    Her biological mother showed her true nature after ignoring the daughter and after the father asked for full custody even though the last 6 months was at his house. That is when she missed the child support (not alimony) Emily was already the monster at a young age. It will only get worse for her.

  • @deborahpinkey1264
    @deborahpinkey1264 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +11

    Alimony and child support payments are not the same. By age 12, Britney knew she was just a source of money to her mother. She should have shared with her father what her half-sister Emily had said about what their mother had said about waiting until she (Britney) turned eighteen when the money would stop. Britney's father surely would have gone back to court to try to get full custody. By 15, Britney could decide for herself which parent she wanted to live with and the CS money would have stopped then. But, we can't blame the child for wanting the mother's love and affection. That's innate.

      Plus the theft of the key! The author emphasizes the fact that Brittany's new house has just the one set of keys, but so did her previous apartment - until her mother stole her key and made a duplicate! Unless Brittany didn't mention that in her police report, that should have been factored in. That mother was a straight up predator against her own oldest daughter!

    • @susanhopemason

      Exactly. And alimony has nothing to do with the kid anyway. What they are calling alimony is really child support. Alimony is a completely different thing and alimony DOES stop once the ex receiving it remarries. Child support doesn't stop until the kid turns 18, usually.

    Speaking psychology, for a woman, the last child she gives birth to, is special. That is because, at some point in life, the woman realises that her current pregnancy could be the last child she gives birth to… her last chance to become a mother. This realisation leads her to be over-loving, over-caring, over- indulgent, and over-protective of her last child.
