Been waiting for these to start back up again. Great to hear from Tony on a difficult subject.
I live in Norfolk and have been tracking and responding to DVC for a long time.
Norfolk has just disbanded/done away with its volunteer DVC operatives in favour of doing it "in house. "
It will be interesting to see how they cope with the increased numbers we are now seeing.
Hi Paul, I was talking to someone from your area and they told me about Norfolk doing DVC's in house now, yes I agree that that in some counties the police ARO would be doing nothing else, I lot of it is due to how volunteers are trained!
Good to see you are back on the podcasts 👍
We’re thrilled to be back and have some really interesting guests lined up. Thanks for listening 🙏🏻🎙️
Interesting show good to know . Alway handy to have someone with a dog .
Absolutely! UKDTR are a non-profit organisation that provide a FREE service to assist deer stalkers/ deer managers, the more that know this service is out there the better 🙏🏻
Owen, reference dispatch at RTA,s.
Not having knowledge of processes for police call outs and legalities reference dispatch by the roadsides, so I took a training course to understand best practice.
Had similar incidents and found the knife the best tool to have with you.
Luckily the last couple were hit by people that understood what needed to be done.
Being from the Cotswolds, knowing the area and having now retired i would like to replace my last dog and go down the UK tracking route.
I need to chat with someone local and get started.
Enjoy the podcasts, it's like sitting in the pub and chewing the fat with fellow stalkers and we have gone down the same line,
Giving up the Game, raw feed dogs etc.
Build up local contacts and then you have outlets that assist, game dealers are too far and what they give doesn't cover my fuel cost.
Hope to see you at the stalking show.
Thanks for positive response and appreciate the feedback 🎙️👍🏼
UKDTR do training assistance as part of there mentorship scheme.
We are at Stalking Show on the Saturday so perhaps see you there? Please introduce yourself if you see us walking by!
If anyone is interested in buying a tracking dog I have some for sale currently, 4 week old Bmh with top bloodlines, they’re advertised on the main pet selling site and we’r in Nottinghamshire 👍
