      Hi I actually plan to create a comprehensive UV course but it won't be out till closer to summer I think. In the meantime there might be some tips in this video that can help you out.

    how do you change the color of wireframe-shaded from blue to black permanently for all objects ?

    quick question: around 14:25 you create the offset for the glass panel, and then extrude it down, only to extrude the exact same faces up again, what was the purpose of putting it down? Why didn't you just extrude up after creating the initial offset?? thanks!!

      Hi since this was more of an ArchViz piece I actually did a couple of things there. I extruded it down to make it feel more inset into the side railing in case I was planning on a close up shot. The light bouncing in gives it an extra sense of realism though it's probably hard to tell from the thumbnail.
      I also duplicated the faces before extruding again partly to avoid lamina faces and also I just wanted the glass to be separate cause I wasn't sure if I was going to create the glass in Substance or Maya.

    Is there no sweepmesh tool for Maya version 20?

    • @DigitalDreambox
      @DigitalDreambox  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't believe so no. You will need to update Maya to at least 2022 I think. I did provide a link to a tutorial on how to extrude along a curve for those without the Sweep Mesh feature though. Sweep Mesh doesn't really do that much more that you can't do manually if I had to be honest.
