I've played GW2 for many years and never tried WvW because I'm not much of PvP player. I've been considering dipping my toes in and your guide has been super helpful.

8:49 Veteran Supervisors are invulnerable and prevent capture if an objective has just been captured. Be sure to look at the timer over the objective on your world map or check the buffs of the supervisor underneath their health bar and make sure they don’t have “Righteous Indignation”
+ While they have this buff they also hit like a truck, don't try to duel someone 1v1 while you're tanking (or having to dodge attacks from) the Invulnerable Veteran Supervisor of their camp.
Nice guide! Happy to see "non veteran players" enjoying this gamemode, sharing their experience and guide new players in! I had and still have a blast roaming and zerging in wvw. Just want to mention there´s another reward (loot) in wvw, the "memory of battle". It´s the wvw counterpart to the "Shard of Glory" from pvp. Mainly used for crafting legendary gear and to buy exotic gear. You can also sell and buy them in the trading post.
1:14 For those that are new or who play other MMO’s, Ascended Armor/Anything is gear that carries the best stats. Legendaries carry the same high stats as Ascended but are flashier and are stat selectable outside of combat allowing for easier changes for specs/builds. All legendaries can be used across all of your characters at the same time so theres no need to farm multiple sets of gear.
The game does a terrible job of explaining anything for this game mode so as a new player wvw is really intimidating. This was a huge help. I’m gonna give it a shot
A little clarity on team colours. WVW has 4 tiers, this is important to know, because only in Tier 1 will you be green if you faired the best, and only in Tier 4 will you be red if you faired the worse. Otherwise you will be red if you won because you went up a tier, and green if you lost because you went down a tier. Since the system currently uses 1u1d.
Good idea would be to show the last reward chest since you were already showing the chests and double check the audio balance, but overall very solid video!
I'm only going to go wvw to get my gift of battle. I'm actually big BIG mad I have to do a pvp mode to craft legendaries. Thanks for the guide tho. I'm gonna get in and gtfo and never return 😂
@@Jrocks26 In my case I know I wont. Every time I meet another player and we're both alone the other one wipes the floor with me. I try to stay low and keep my participation up so I get as fast as possible through this hell... Just like the main post above I just do this for a legendary... And it sends shivers down my back to know I have to do it again if I want to do another weapon... -.-
