Hikaru is current world fischer random champion ( not here ) , Wesley So was a champion before him
( not here ) and Nepo beat Magnus in the semi-finals on the last world fischer random championship organised by Fide ( not here )
Hikaru said Magnus had a deal with the sponsors and he decided with whom he will play with and he skip NEPO, SO AND HIKARU CAUSE HE IS AFRAID OF THEM WHEN HE IS OUT OF THEORY cause he is the best in memorisazation, like computer, but the most creative players are Hikaru and Nepo for example , and Nepo beat Magnus under 8 World chess championship when they were kids cause Nepo is so creative , more creative than Magnus.

As far as I understood from other sources, Hikaru was asked to participate but declined in order to prepare for candidates. The absence of Wesley is a pity, though. Ding is clearly not up to task, unfortunately.
I think hikaru has other tournament maybe that's why magnus didn't invite him or why hikaru declined.. but I don't think its candidates preparation because he will be preparing at march is what he said on the stream.
Chess contestants should be brought to table blindfolded until they sit on the chair 😂

A shame the official Fisher Random World Cup was cancelled for this year, it seems. Unfortunately there are only 8 entries in this tournament. I think it's great they have 4 older and 4 young players.
Magnus and Fabiano should always be included for the older players. But I definitely would have loved to see Hikaru and Ian or Wesley instead of Ding and Levon.

So it sounds like two players that have won this tourney in the past and who are still active in the chess world did not get an invite. You being one of the two. So why didn't you get an invite? I find it hilarious that Magnus didn't invite Hikaru and Wesley So. The current 960 world champ and a former 960 world champ. Both of whom defeated Magnus quite handedly to become 960 champs. Magnus is obviously avoiding them because he doesn't stand a chance. Furthermore, it's also interesting that Magnus is only the number one player in regular chess, but can't back it up when there's no opening theory/prep.
